Yes, assimilation into the culture you move into is very important, otherwise why move out of the culture you were born into? Unless , the goal is to take over the culture you are moving into .
That's why the French have been aiding them boats to come to England...

It’s been Like this in Birmingham all my life, parts have always been like going into a foreign country, My friend in Swindon said recently that it has gone the same way. She wants to leave because she fees like a stranger in the town centre she had lived in for 50 years. Suzy
