Your phone might work again once dried - i have managed to revive mine by opening it all out, wrapping in a towel and putting on top of a radiator (not too hot) - it took a few days but it might work for you when you get a chance to do that. Might be worth purchasing a canoe dry sack at some point for your big walks - i have a phone sized one and one that acts as an inner for my rucksack - keeps everything perfectly dry even if i should fall in a lake lol!
