The first snow of winter.

I like to get out once a day but it's been so dull, damp, and miserable today, I've only had a short walk to the Post Office. On the corner near the church is a tree stump. It was a beautiful tree but they said it was diseased and had to go. It was very sad to see it reduced to logs.
Now mother nature is grieving for the lost tree and has wrapped the stump in the most beautiful fungi. I like to think it is comforting it.

I managed a six mile walk yesterday, and made this video. Won't you walk and chat with me.

Darkness has fallen, it's 4.30pm, I won't be going out now. I will carry on with my sewing.
Thanks for popping in. Don't forget it's check in day tomorrow for the Walking Group.

Meet Rambo

Today out on my walk I met Rambo. What a handsome chap.
And also met his little friend.
A lucky find by the roadside on a grass verge. A bundle of rope. Must have fallen off a lorry. I could make some more bowls with this.
That's topped up my miles. We are near the end of the month. It's check in day for the International Walking Group on Wednesday. Best foot forward, I'll race you to the finish line.
Thanks for popping in. See ya tomorrow.   ilona

Now I do get it.

My mornings are spent learning, it's like being back at school. At 72 my brain is still hungry for more information so I seek it out. When I say I am spending time on the computer I don't mean blindly clicking on this and that, with no direction in mind. There is stuff I want to know about, stuff I want to understand, stuff to enhance my life experiences.

I used to go to night school at the college when I was in my thirties, to study psychology. I still have a lot of interest in that subject. I was thinking about the post I wrote about 'not getting it', and how I don't understand why people keep coming back to a place that annoys them. All the information I need to address that statement is already out there. Seek and you will find.

This mornings search threw up a video which sheds some light on it. Inspired has put out a video in which Dr Robert Malone explains the phenomenon of  'mass formation'. It's 13 minutes long with clear speech and sub titles. Now I get it.

Yoohootoob is not full of fruit cakes as some people like to believe. If you follow the right people it provides lots of useful information. I have just watched a lecture on Reaching People. The tutor gave a very comprehensive presentation on the techniques which would be useful to diffuse an awkward situation. The hour long video has lots of visuals, and a discussion at the end of it. Anyone with an interest in the current situation and how to make sense of it would do well to watch this. Of course those with no interest can ignore me.

That wraps up my school work for today. There is still a bit of snow around so I think a walk across the fields would be a good choice for this afternoon.

Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.

Sunday 28 November 2021

1 dog, 2 cats, and a new art project.

I've been outside only once today, for about an hour, to walk Billy dog. It's freezing cold, and there is a lot of ice and snow about. I was a bit worried that I might fall over, as Billy pulls the whole time. For a little Jack Russell he is very strong. There were some dry patches on the footpaths, but the road was like a sheet of ice in places. I tended to walk on the grass where I could. That works well until he suddenly changes direction and wants to cross the road to sniff on the other side. I have never had a fracture in my life, I don't want to start now. We managed though. He did three poo's and met his doggy friends.

I've been on the computer a lot today, and I have been working on a new sewing project. Oscar cat is spending more time indoors while the weather is cold. I have opened up a small access hole for him to get into the summer house. He has a comfy chair in there to sleep on. He is mainly an outdoor cat, but will come in for some warmth and food. He is in now but will want to go out later.

Mayze spends all day every day indoors. She loves lying next to a radiator. Yes, I have the heating on, usually during the morning, then I switch it off for a few hours in the afternoon. The house stays reasonably warm because it is well insulated. I put it back on again in the evening. The Government has very kindly put the winter payment of £200 in my bank account to cover the next bill.

This is a new picture I am working on. I have a canvas that I covered with a collage. I don't like it so I am going to cover it with this piece of fabric. I got it from the Scrapstore and it fits perfectly. The design was already on, I am embellishing it with embroidery. Looking good so far. I have added some artificial flower petals in the centre and painted them with glittery glue to make them sparkle. There is some white lace with red beads as well. I think it will look nice when it is finished.

Thank you to everyone who commented on the previous post. Most of you are understanding of the situation. Thankfully there are only a small minority who think they can come on here day after day, picking fault with everything I say and everything I do. I just can't understand why they do it. Here's a little tip for bloggers who want to bump up their page views. Write something controversial and watch the naysayers come out to play. The naked me page has had almost 4000 views, ha ha.

We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.  ilona

I don't get it.

I am feeling sorry for those people who come back here day after day, week after week, and month after month, with the same old claptrap of why they are right and why I am wrong. My comments are dwindling because I delete all the negativity. OK I let a few through, just to spice things up a bit. It gives me the opportunity to say my bit, but most of the time I can't be bothered.

They must have very sad lives if they feel the need to keep coming back when their views are at opposite ends of the spectrum to mine.  Why would you bother to keep going to a pub when you don't really like those people who go there. You would find another pub, wouldn't you.

How sad it is that people find fault with my life and nitpick it to pieces. What a waste of time and energy, when they should be ignoring me and getting on with their own lives.

It is natural to gravitate towards others with similar interests, because that is where you will fit in with like minded people. Why do people feel the need to keep going back to a place where they know they are not wanted. I don't get it.

Thank you to the many new like minded readers that have found my blog and are comfortable coming here. You are welcome. Thank you to the long time readers who respect that this is my space and they can move on if I talk about something they are not interested in. I am reminded of the song, If you don't happen to like it pass me by.

We have snow on the ground here in North Lincolnshire. I have a dog walk this afternoon, that's if Billy wants to go out.

Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.  ilona

Over the moon.

My main reason for going to Grimsby was that Tom wrote a post about the moon exhibition in Bath. I remembered that I had seen that when I was on holiday on Orkney. I checked out the artists web site, and found that it is also in Grimsby. There are several moons which tour the world. Luke Jerram is the artist and the moons were made in Bristol.
The Minster at Grimsby.
Statue in the garden at the back of the Minster. A fisherman pulling his nets in.

There was a display of small quilts. Looks like the theme was the current situation. All beautifully made.

I spent about half an hour in the Minster, then went off in search of the docks. The Town Hall is a rather splendid building.
Looks like someone is getting married.
I'm not sure what this building is, you see it on the left as you approach Grimsby at the end of the dual carriageway. The setting sun lights it up beautifully.
The road was very busy as I walked back to the car to go home.
Here is a short walkabout video of the moon in the Minster. If you want to check where you can view it, the dates and locations are on this web site.  If you want to see my pictures of it when I saw it in September 2018 check this out.

I braved the wind and went a walk this afternoon. I shortened it a bit as it started to rain. Just got back as they were switching the street lights on.
Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for popping in.

Having a look at Grimsby.

I fancied going out for the afternoon. Not necessarily for a walk, but just to look at something different. I haven't been to Grimsby in a long time, also don't know much about it apart from the fact that the main industry is fishing. I used to go to a chemical factory there with a tanker, and pick up loads of sulphuric acid.
I found a quiet car park and put £2.50 in the machine for four hours. I took an old and battered Grimsby street map with me, one that I used for trucking.
I set off for the Fishing Museum, following the signs through the shopping area. This lady was feeding the gulls. Lots of them came swooping down. A bit like those you see following a tractor ploughing a field.
This boat is moored next to the Museum, there is a walkway to get on to it from inside the building.

At the reception there is a big screen showing views from all around the area, and some of the exhibits inside. It's a slide show which changes every few seconds.

I wanted to go into the museum and was quite happy to pay the entrance of £6, pensioner rate. I wasn't allowed in because I didn't have any plastic to pay the fee. I offered cash but they don't accept it. Oh well. Never mind.

There is a big Clock Tower at Grimsby Docks so I went to get a picture of it. Years ago groups used to do abseiling down it for charity. Apparently they stopped it and they can no longer do that. I went to the security gate at the entrance to the docks and asked if I could go to the tower to take a photo. The security man said no, it's not allowed.
I decided to go down a street which might get me a bit closer, without actually going into the docks. The street was full of fish factories. The gulls were circling, looking for some scraps.

It took me over a bridge which goes over a railway line, so I was able to get a bit of a view. There's the Clock Tower.

Coming off the end of the bridge I found myself getting close to some boats. I think I found the back way into the docks. I took a few sneaky pictures.

That's one heck of a boat. It looks really big from the side.

Now look at it from the front, isn't that amazing. I'm not sure what you call this kind of a boat. It's like two boats joined together. I've just found it on Marine Traffic. It's a crew ship, it's last port of call was Denmark. It's a high speed craft.
Here is another one. Checking on Marine Traffic one of the photo's shows a close up. You can see the words Technical Marine Support, and there is a picture of it docking up to a North Sea oil rig.

This is a trawler which was built 40 years ago.
I'll finish this post here. I have some more photo's and a video which I will put on tomorrow.
I'm glad I went out today. I've just looked out of the window and it's been snowing. Maybe a day indoors tomorrow then. Thanks for popping in. Have a good weekend.  ilona

Thursday 25 November 2021

Oh heck! Caught out again.

I gave myself three hours for a walk yesterday. Set off at 1pm, should have been home for 4. It would have been fine if I hadn't stopped to talk to people. A lady walking her dog, and I dropped in to see my friend. I said I wouldn't stay long but once we got talking five minutes turned into twenty minutes.
Maybe I should have taken a shorter route back home, but I thought, no, stick to the original plan. Good job I put a torch in my backpack. After I finished filming this video the last half an hour was in pitch black through fields. Luckily I know the route.
I will try and be more organised, and not faff so much before I set off.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

He would have been proud.

Freddie left a legacy of fantastic music. He lives on in people's hearts. Here are four covers. All very good, the last one brought tears to my eyes. I'm sure he would have been proud.
Thank you Freddie.    ilona

In a nutshell

WOW, how do I follow that. Thank you so much for the positive feedback on that last post. I know there are people out there who want to speak out but are reluctant to do so for fear of being ridiculed and ostracised. Do not be afraid.

Before I go back to my usual posts of money saving, simple living, food, walking, crafting, gardening etc, I'll do a quick 'in a nutshell' round up.

The world is being taken over by the richest people on earth. They have formed themselves into a cartel because they have fucked up the world economy. Basically the world is bankrupt through their mismanagement. They need to take drastic measures to sort out the mess. They are dictating to the Governments on the direction they must take. Boris and all the rest are acting on their orders.

The cartel see the solution in moving everything over to global digital currency, with no exceptions. Complete control over everything we earn and everything we spend.  Everyone's personal details will be on their smartphone. They will have complete control over that device.

How will they get people to go along with this plan? Easy, through scaring them shitless. Telling them they will die of a virus if they don't cover their face, if they don't stay in their homes, if they don't get another needle stuck into their body. By telling everyone they are responsible for the health of others. In the beginning they gave people snippets of hope, only two weeks to flatten the curve then we can get back to normal. I didn't believe that. They have never disclosed where the virus came from. That has to ring alarm bells.

To carry out their plan they have to get everyone on board, and the fewer people they need to convince the easier their job will be. Think about that.

Now join the dots. Get rid of small businesses. Grab land and buildings from those who can no longer maintain them. Rent them out to those who have been priced out of the home ownership market. Pay people to stay at home. Censor anything on the internet that goes against the official narrative.

The world economy is going to collapse. Everyone should become as self sufficient as they can. Everyone needs to form themselves into small communities to help each other. Trade locally. This is what they don't want you to do, this is why they have divided you. They allow movement of large numbers of people around the world because they know it will cause friction and conflict. It's all in the plan.

The only way out of this mess is to say no, I will not comply. Get rid of your apps, tear up your health passports. Your health is your concern, no one else's. Start paying for as much as you can with cash. They cannot bring about their plans unless everyone is on board. Already they are forcing the jabbberwocky in Australia. They pick on the weakest first. This dreadful disease will spread, and I don't mean the virus. While you have still got a brain in your head, resist. Stay strong my friends, and hold the line.

Now my brain is fried, I'm going to get my breakfast. Thanks for popping in. ilona

Sunday 21 November 2021

Down on the farm.

It was freezing cold today. I didn't realise just how cold until I stepped outside the door. The sun was shining, and was calling me to go out. I didn't fancy going too far because of the shorter days, so I went to the park. It was lovely and warm in the tropical plant greenhouse.

Percy the peacock snoozing on a soft cushion of Autumn leaves.

His wife Matilda foraging for a few grubs. I haven't noticed a white peacock before.

I found an open gate and went to have a nosy round the back of a shed. This little engine is cute. I bet that's fun to drive.
The carriages were next to it. It's a shame that they are out in the open. It would be better if they are under cover for the winter.

I hadn't noticed a Farmyard Crazy Golf pitch before. The animals are lovely. I want some for my garden.

I'm sure this pig is smiling.

I was strolling around, and as I was passing the big house someone I knew came out of the back door. A friend I used to see regularly at the 20 21 Arts Centre in town. She told me she left there a while back, and now works at the park. It was great to catch up with her. I was pleased that she speaks the same language as me. Put a smile on my face, for sure.

I didn't hang around after that. I had some photo's and I was flippin freezing, so I went the shortest quickest route home.

We'll catch up soon. Toodle Pip.   ilona

Singalong Sunday

Okeydokey. I've found a new freedom song. Anyone joining me in a singalong? Let's go for it.
Boris said, no forced jabberwockys no passports. Nope, it won't happen. Nadhim said, we aren't planning to have jabby passports. Michael G said certainly we won't be having jabby passports. George E MP said it won't be necessary to have jabby passports. They lied, and they are coming.

The pace is hotting up, the fight is gaining momentum. More demonstrations world wide are being reported. Not in main stream media though, news is filtering through.
Rome Italy....The Hague Netherlands.... Paris France.... Zagreb Croatia....Belfast Ireland.... Vienna Austria....Perth Australia.... Melbourne Australia.... London UK....and many more. It's good to see a fighting spirit. These scenes fill me with hope for the future.
I will leave you with this thought. unjabbyd and jabbyd need to come together. If we don't we have a segregated society, and the rift will not be healed for decades.

Food shopping video.

Good Morning and Happy Weekend. I put this video on da Toooob and comments are mounting up there. If you want to read them click on the logo at the bottom and you will automatically be taken there.
My total shop was £58.11, These are just some of the items I bought. My previous late Aldi shop was on Friday the 29th of October, this one was on Tuesday the 16th of November. I try and leave two to three weeks between visits. I do get a top up bag of fresh veg and fruit every two weeks in exchange for walking a friends dog. Often there are items which I am not keen on, or already have enough of, so I share them with two other friends. Everything gets eaten by someone.
My quarterly utilities bill arrived in the post, covering the period 9th of August to 10th of November. (British Gas) I sent them a cheque for £102.11 to pay it off. For a similar period last year, 12th of July to the 11th of October, (Ebico) it was £96.31p. I paid that one at the Post Office.
Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for popping in. We'll catch up soon.

St Peters Church in Stapenhill.

Another short video I made when I visited Burton upon Trent on Wednesday. St Peters Church is close to the busy main road so there is traffic noise. My sister makes a guest appearance on this one.

And just to wrap it up, a cute Cyril the squirrel pic.
Thanks for watching. We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.

WOW

A walk this afternoon. Just when you think you have seen the best sunset ever, along comes another one even better. Didn't think it was going to amount to much, a lot of cloud was getting in the way of the sun.
Looking pretty dark here. Is that it?

Turn a corner and WOW. It looks like an oil painting.

I think that's the end of the free show. That red splash looks like it could be a lake. I walked the last twenty minutes in the dark. Good job I know the way.

I'll be back tomorrow with another video from yesterday. I've also recorded a food shopping video, I'll put that in the oven tomorrow.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle Pip.
