Homestyle pedicure.

Good evening.
Today I had a lovely soak in the bath. Hair washed, top to toe exfoliating, and trimming the toe nails. It was a lovely relaxing spa day.
Much cheaper to do it yourself in the comfort of your own bathroom.
This is how I trim my toenails. No bending down, keeping the back straight, and lifting my foot onto the table. To combat dry skin, moisturiser can be used if preferred.
With all the walking I do I need to look after my feet.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

    1. I think I am lucky that my knees and hips are the same ones I was born with. My back has fared pretty well despite all that heavy lifting, and jumping on and off the back of a lorry. Some of it might have to do with genes. My fathers side were all pretty active into their old age. Except my actual father of course. He trashed his body with smoking and alcohol.

    1. I did pay a visit once to someone who was offering a foot pamper for £10. It was quite soothing at the time, but the warm fuzzy feeling didn't last very long. I'm not sure why people paint their toe nails, unless it is summer and they are wearing sandals.

  3. You look very fit, Ilona. It is seeing my feet clearly I find difficult with varifocal lenses. I found a sanding block is good for smoothing heels regularly.
Thank you for your posts, which have been a joy. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.

    1. Hi Nellie. I used to thoroughly exfoliate my feet all over with a pumice stone. But then I found it left the soles, particularly the heels, very sore indeed while I was out walking. Now I let the hard skin build up to provide an extra layer of protection.
