Good evening.
My entertainment for tonight is Britain's Got Talent. I am scrolling through some of the old shows. Ever since Susan Boyle arrived on the scene I love discovering new talent. Several more have followed in her footsteps and walked onto the stage for the first time.
I found Jasmine Rice some time ago, and now I look for new performances. This is the first one he did on BGT. The audience went wild for it. One of my favourite songs as well.
Jasmine does his own makeup. If you want to see how he does it, this is a three minute speeded up video. The transformation is amazing. Stunning voice, stunning presentation.

ReplyDeleteI love the element of surprise on some of these acts. Combine the artistic flare of the costume, that's the illusion, then the projected voice completes the performance. I loved how Susan Boyle stunned everyone. Shows we should never judge a book by the cover. She deserves all her sucess and happiness.
ReplyDeleteShe tried to make it as a singer years before, but she stayed at home to look after her mother. She sang in pubs, she was on the Michael Barrymore show and he made fun of her. Then came her chance. Thank goodness she got onto BGT.
DeleteI didn't know she tried before. It shows a strong level of strength and resilence to keep going after being made a full of. They will not be laughing now as she is a millionaire.
DeleteSusan always knew she wanted to be a singer. They laughed at her when she said she wanted to be like Elaine Paige. When she became wealthy she bought a new big house close to where she lived. She couldn't settle there so she gave it to her niece. She moved back into the small terraced house she lived with her mother, and bought the adjoining house and knocked it through to make one bigger house. You don't hear much of her now. I believe she still records an album now and again, and does the occasional concert.
