Let the water sit for a few minutes and you'll end up with a much nicer tasting brew. By putting boiling water over the leaves or teabags, you're actually cooking the leaves and green tea is too delicate for that, while black tea can handle it, thanks to different processing. Also, flavoured green teas might be easier to try at first. Another thing to keep in mind is that black tea is quite healthy too, just in different ways - if you prefer it, drink that instead.Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16775852005918042404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3556657999892839298.post-26931060740543826122012-01-20T06:09:05.374+00:002012-01-20T06:09:05.374+00:00Wow ! What is wrong with plain water. If I were in a money pinch, tea would be the last thing I would buy. Of course, I am American and drink it iced. The funny thing is that I like dark, bitter tea. The thought of putting a sweetener in my tea makes me cringe.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3556657999892839298.post-74640922117279220762012-01-19T23:09:37.465+00:002012-01-19T23:09:37.465+00:00Green tea tip - try some of the ones with flavours...Green tea tip - try some of the ones with flavours in. For all its being good for you, if your taste buds say "yuck", don't torture them!!

Have you tried Rooibosh/Redbush "tea"? With or without milk, nice with lemon, if you sweeten it use a little honey. You can add spices too if you fancy.
Naturally caffeine free and with a lot of "goodies" in, a cupa of this can help if you can't sleep.gzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08034777779347889773noreply@blogger.com
