Who's been eating my Whiskas :o)

I went outside to look for the cats at 10pm, to get them in for bed time. Look what I found guzzling the food I had put down for them. The hedgehog had tilted the bowl to get at the contents. Look what happened next.

Bugsy sits waiting for his turn. "Hey you, that's my favourite Whiskas you're pigging out on there. Scarper you pesky prickly pest."


"Oh for goodness sake, I can't wait forever, spose I'll have to make do with this Vitapurr. What a damn cheek."


Thank goodness for that, he's gone. The flippin nerve of him, thought they were supposed to dine on slugs and snails anyway. Good riddance."

    Aah! Lovely :o) I only get visitors in the dark. I've been feeding one for a few weeks, but to my delight when I checked up half an hour ago there was two munching away...

    Cute! We get raccoons right in the city that share cat's food. They are dangerous and vicious and destructive. Good shots.

    That is too cool and made me laugh. In my old apartment (flat) we had a cat door. One night there was an opossum eating alongside the cats in the kitchen. I think they thought he was just an ugly cat. Here I have opossums and raccoons that eat any leftovers I put out for cats.

    If anyone wants to be hedghog friendly, please do not give them milk to drink! It is not good for their stomachs. They are happily munching on leftover meat meals or cat foods.

    Cats are much more into sharing it seems. Ours was quite friendly with the fox that frequents the garden( or maybe it is successive generations of foxes). He would also let the little cat from 2 doors away sit eating from his bowl after she asked herself in through the cat flap.

    8 out 10 cats prefer Whiskas, seems like there are a lot more hedgehogs like it too though. :) Cracking photos. I like the one where Bugsy is sitting waiting, as if to say, "What the heck is that hedgehog doing in my food!" Made me laugh. :-D

    I did laugh when I saw this. I read in a gardening book that if you encourage hogs they would eat the slugs.
    We peeped out one night to see the hog tucking into the cat food, joined by several slugs, eating out of the same bowl HA HA

    Great photos - we're currently home to one or two very shy hedgehogs - they drive the dogs bonkers at night, snuffling and squeaking under the hedge!

    I would love hedgehogs more if they were nt covering in fleas.
    I love the respectful distance the cat is keeping ! We use to poke them with little sticks to make them roll into a ball.
