Just thought I'd let you know, I'm eating a Limited Edition Mars Bar. On the side it says, Tasty Chocolate Nougat and Delicious Chocolate Caramel, covered in Thick Milk Chocolate. Amazingly it's called a Triple Choc Mars Bar, clever name eh!
On the bottom of the wrapper it shows the date 15 - 04 - 2012. And the best bit of all is the sticker on the front, which says it's reduced from 68p to 25p. So thank you Spar Shop for my 25p treat. It's ages since I had a bar of choccy, so I am enjoying this immenseley. I get so much more pleasure out of things which are cheap, don't you?
The thrill of the bargain - excellent score.
ReplyDeleteThe taste intensifies according to how much money is knocked off...that's true...honest!
ReplyDeleteJane x
And if you stick a few of the marked-down bars in the freezer, there's a treat on hand for when they are not on sale :)
ReplyDeleteBeen leaning to say how much I like the new banner photo, Ilona!
Of course I tried to type "meaning"...I am not tilting to one side, honest!
ReplyDeleteWell I think I can go one better. Hehe..I recently did a survey for a chocolate company. This morning I received a package with 3 free chocolate bars for me to test. A tough job but someone had to do it!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the new special edition KitKat chunky bar, peanut flavour? Delicious. It won't be on offer yet, if ever. I'll eat 'em all!
ReplyDeleteWell, I am afraid I would have bought a quid s worth. I tend to stock up on bargains which defeats the object (and my waistline)
ReplyDeleteI'll admit to having at least a chocolate bar a week...stock up when they have them 2 for one...
ReplyDeleteBargains always taste better :0)
ReplyDeleteIf I see such bargain offers I usually take more than one home. I`m pretty good in making them last a while. DB would eat them all in one go. I stash my bargains away and have one every couple of weeks. I treat myself when I`ve been able to reduce the weekly shopping bill, and on occasional Sunday afternoons with a rare cup of filter coffee. Chocolates and coffee are a match made in heaven, I think.
ReplyDeleteWe love free and we love cheap, tastes extra sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI think anything you enjoy becomes much more of a treat when you only eat it occasionally. Did your Mars "help you work rest and play?" :-D
ReplyDeleteHi Ilona I have just ordered an electric bike after having to give my car up due to evers high fuel and insurance costs. I know it's abit of an outlay but bought it out of the price of selling my car, as putting the money in the bank would earn me next to nothing!!. I have solar panels so hope I can recharge the battery for next to nothing during peek time. I was out with the dog, this lunch time and in the hedge I have just found a yellow fluorescent over jacket which somebody has discarded or lost. Also I have just searched the garage and remembered a helmet that my daughter had when she was a student. Found it !! So that's two Free items for my new bike, just looking for a basket now to go on the front. Regards Jean
ReplyDeleteOoh the taste of a bargain - can't beat it. Just had leftover curry from last night -whoopsied beef strips, whoopsied carrot and swede - yummy!
ReplyDeleteA nice treat and good on you for getting another bargain. I'm getting excited about my Tesco visit :)
ReplyDeleteTechnically they sell these in packs of 4 in £ shops anyways ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Willow, that's a good tip, but I am trying to steer away from multipack choc bars, I would pig out on all of them at the same time. Best if I just stick to one bar. I can't stock up, because I can't save them.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds a fantastic idea Jean. My friend has one of those bikes because she doesn't drive at all. She loves it. They are becoming very popular.
I agree Kath. A treat is something you don't have very often, so you can look forward to it and enjoy it all the more when you get one.
Reduced chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate. I could not buy any, hoping to have it later, either. After Easter it was hard not to buy lots of chocolate bunnies and 75% off.
