There's no stopping me now, another little film. It's quite good fun playing with this. I haven't the foggiest how to edit them though, so what I see is what you get. I am not too keen on my voice, I sound like I am a bit sozzled, that's because I am speaking slowly and trying to find the right words. My deafness also plays a part in how I speak because I cannot hear myself as well as a fully hearing person can. I don't want to have to do retakes and work from a script because that would look staged, and that's not what I want. So you will have to put up with it being less than perfect and more natural.
It takes ages to post them directly on here, via the blogger hosting site, Picassa, quite often the whole download gets aborted and you have to start again. So now I am putting them on yootoob, which still takes a long time, but at least the download seems to run smoothly. It's all a learning curve for me, in time I might be able to tidy up the rough edges, as I get the hang of it. Anyway, without further ado, come for a little bimble with me.
There is nothing like walking your dogs for lifting your spirits, just watching them run and play makes me glad to be alive.
ReplyDeleteI loved that! Rcoky is such a waggy smiley boy and he obviously thinks the world of you.
ReplyDeleteI posted a video from last night with my voice on it...I sound like a 12 yer old!!

That was brilliant thanks !!
ReplyDeleteLove the view. It's quite disconcerting sitting in the caravan at the bottom of the hill and seeing a big ship sailing over the rooftops.
ReplyDeleteA lovely part of Lincolnshire.
Henry is waiting so patiently while you do your video and little Rocky looks very happy just to be out and about with you.
I have never bimbled!! Thank you for taking us on yours. The only bit of the Trent I know is around Stone in Staffordshire where my sister lives. It is great to see your bit. Absolutely beautiful and Rocky is the sweetest doggie. Henry should really be called Chocolate being that colour! Ann x
ReplyDeleteThat is great Ilona. I hate recording my voice. I'll be over t'other side of the river on Friday for a cycle show in York over the weekend, camping! Weather forecast rain, rain, rain!
ReplyDeleteThe river is so wide, a really nice outlook.
Lovely walk. Very well behaved dogs. My daughter wants to know how you keep the camera so still when moving about. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great video! How did you get it so steady?! When I take videos with my camera I can't hold it steady enough so it's always a bit wobbly - no smooth movements like yours had! I though you had a tripod until you walked up towards the dogs with it! Rocky is a lovely little thing too!
ReplyDeleteLittle Rocky Dog!!! :) So lovely! Poor old Henry, but can you imagine the mess he'd make if he went in that river?! (Perhaps you know from past experience Ilona? :D)
ReplyDeleteI love the word "bimble"
Hi Bryallen, I'm not so much bothered about the mess Henry would make, more bothered that he would get swept away in the fast current. He did go in it once, there is a concrete boat ramp anmd I wasn't paying attention and he was in. Thank goodness he only wanted a paddle and came out quickly.
ReplyDeleteThere is a slight wobble near the beginning as the ground was uneven, but I do try and keep my hand, arm, and shoulder still while the rest of my body is moving. I also try and move in slow motion.
It was really enjoyable seeing where you walk the dogs. The view of the river was lovely, and made me feel like I was out walking with you. Thanks for posting your video.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us parts of your daily life. What a gorgeous place to walk. And the dogs seem to enjoy it a lot! You do, too.
ReplyDeleteRenee :)
It was really enjoyable seeing where you walk the dogs. The view of the river was lovely, and made me feel like I was out walking with you. Thanks for posting your video.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear your voice and see your local dog walking path above the river. Such a peaceful view and so much birdsong in the background. Both dogs look very happy to be out with you!
ReplyDeleteI kept thinking you must have a gyroscope on that camera. The filming was a great job. I hate it to get dizzy watching some home videos that are fast and jerky. Your voice was perfect. Sometimes people talk so fast that it's hard to catch words, especially if they are British or even if they are American and don't speak Standard English (whatever that is). Great job.
ReplyDeleteHow peaceful - away from the hurly burly.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum

Thanks Ilona. Like the others I was wondering how you had such good control of the camera! Lovely to see little Rocky in person. He is a gorgeous wee doggie with an amazing tail. It was like a metronome on speed. And of course the noble Henry, lovely to see him too.
ReplyDeleteMore videos please!!!
Linda xx
Ilona that was lovely - thank you for sharing it with us. It does me good just to see all that green :) (stuck in London, but the boyfriend's from Lincolnshire (further south from you) and so I've seen the river Trent a few times).
ReplyDeleteAh! That was really nice. Rocky and Henry are delightful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to start my day. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw little Rocky he seems to be smiling at you:) He is just gorgeous as is Henry♥ I love listening to your "cheery" voice. Beautiful countryside right on your doorstep. Life's good isn't it Ilona:) Linda xxx
ReplyDeleteThat was very enjoyable. Nice to see the dogs. Rocky is just as I imagined him.
ReplyDeleteI think I might take up bimbling myself.
Lovely to see Rocky (and Henry) xx

So enjoyed sharing your walk with you. i have cats not dogs but often go on walks with friends who have dogs and your video really made me feel i was on one of those walks - brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your posts and want to thank you for taking the time to share
ReplyDeleteI've just bimbled with you and most enjoyable it was too. Can you bimble again soon please and share it with us.
ReplyDeleteHi Ilona I am really enjoying these little film clips of yours. The kittens were such fun to watch. More films please !!! Kind regards Jean
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! How does England keep its rural areas from getting spoiled? Here in the states there would be signs, signs and more signs where you are. Farmland close to populated areas is divided up and the houses creep outward. Even in the rural areas the farms aren't working farms anymore! Nearly impossible to see a view like that here not in a state or national park. Houses would dot the shoreline.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see YOUR bit of the Trent Ilona! Seems really funny that both you and I spend so many dog walks next to the same river but about 50 miles apart :0) We are off to the embankment next to trent Bridge later with Dino and Jess (eldest son's dog) Also have to keep Dino on a tight lead else like Henry he would be straight in the water!
ReplyDeleteA lovely video Ilona, thankyou.
ReplyDeleteI love the dogs and the view is to die for.
How lucky you are to have all that just 10 minutes away.

Nothing wrong with your voice as far as this deaf old bird can tell, though I did listen without my hearing aid. You have beautiful scenery don't you and lovely companions to share it with.
ReplyDeleteI am sat in very rainy Manchester and it was lovely to go for a bimble with you and the dogs. Your voice is fine by the way. x
ReplyDeleteThat was so beautiful!as i sit here in my little unit,in Adelaide, suburbia!Aust!it's pouring outside here,so that was so lovely to look at this morning!you are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous place, and the doggies are so cute!thank you for sharing your walk,i really enjoyed it,x Carol.
DeleteYou are doing a great job Ilona. The pleasure you bring not only to me following your posts on here but to many folk deserves huge applause. Love the video, takes me back to my roots as I watch it here up in Northumberland. Many thanks. Mel x
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I know this walk, already bringing back memories. You'll have to get a video of Rocky doing his "up on the bench, get a treat trick".
