On the occasion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, I would like to say thank you to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11, for giving her whole life to her country. I salute you.
I'm amazed at her stamina for work. My own parents are not as old as she is and get tired very easily. She looked quite emotional today - she must be reflecting on all the good work for our country she has done over her reign - most of which we don't see. Good for her and wishing another ten years.
Hear, hear also. I have spent the whole day watching the wonderful spectacle. I am a lot younger than her, but could not have stood around for that length of time. Fancy not sitting on those lovely, gorgeous plush red seats! Altogether marvellous. Ann x
A wonderful day all round, I watched every bit on television, The last program "All the Queens Horses " was the icing on the cake , the Queen really looked as tho she was having a great evening. We did not have a street party where I live as its mostly elderly people but the kids higher up the hill had a tea party with some sports games. Our Queen has to be admired along with her husband Prince Philip, her rock . Long may she reign. Pleased you had a good day Ilona.
Danneke ps hope the kittens are well and their mother is not too tired feeding them, they look so healthy.
You all across the pond have one very amazing Queen. She and Prince Philp work very hard. My husband and I rented two movies about the Queen, her family and allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the work they do. We both were exhausted just watching her walk here there and everywhere. Ever since then, I have far more respect for her. Every country and their leaders should take lessons from Queen Elizabeth. She has served with much grace through many difficult trials.
Hi,i have been glued to the telly during all the recent royal events and really feel a new connection with our royalty.why not have a look at my blog spot if you would like to see a Diamond Jubilee memory box i made for 20p, from an old chocolate box and two free magazines.I am quite proud of it and it has had a lot of compliments! ReplyDeleteHear hear! I love your patriotism! It's been a great day, and I enjoyed seeing the pics of your village celebrations yesterday.
