Oh dear, I think my eyes were bigger than my belly tonight when I dished my dinner up. I need to eat all the food out of the fridge before Monday night. So what have we here in this frugal, super healthy platter.
Steamed cauliflower, free, given to me
Steamed runner beans, free out of the garden
Steamed courgettes, free out of the garden
Salad leaves, free, given to me
One tomato, free given to me
Cucumber, free given to me
Three raw mushrooms, from a reduced pack
Two spoons of potato salad from a 28p tub
With a few dollops of dips from this 98p pack of Tesco Value dips, I love these. They used to have a seafood flavour one in the pack, I'm glad they have dumped it, far too spicy for me.
Boy was I stuffed. In fact I couldn't eat it all, it has gone in the fridge for tomorrow.
The cold is a lot better today, thanks a lot for all your tips on getting rid of it. There's no way I could flush my nose out, yuk, no thanks not in a million years. Hot toddy sounds good but I have no alcohol in the house apart from a couple of cans of cider. I've never had hot cider before. I made a hot lemon drink but I didn't have any lemon juice so I used a teaspoon full of lemon curd. Turned out quite good actually.
I'm off to bed now, I spent most of last night coughing so I'm a bit knackered. Toodle pip.
Do try warm cider Ilona, you will love it! Add some cinnamon and cloves, think mulled wine, only mulled cider.
ReplyDeleteMy mam used to give us hot lemonade and an asprin. The hot lemonade soothes the tickly throat gets rid of congestion and I still have some today if I'm coming down with a cold.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. It seems to be fluey, buggy season everywhere.
