Five minutes of your time

Hello. I've got a few minutes to spare before I get ready for college sewing class. Not enough time for a full blown post, but found this little 5 minute film you might like. I'm a big fan of Random Acts of Kindness, try and do as many as I can, don't always talk about it, no need.

Will pop into Tesco on the way home to see if there are any bargains. I'll post again later if I have time.
Toodle pip.

  1. Lovely, kind people, but why were they being filmed?

    1. Hi, A lot of people have cameras mounted in their cars nowadays, either on the dash, or facing to the rear. They can be useful when insurance claims are disputed.

  3. Very touching! Love your blog but never comment on anything - anywhere. We always hope to be THAT person. Did shed a tear though, I must admit. Maggie x

  4. I offered an elderly man a £5 off coupon in the supermarket as his shopping came to over £30. I knew I didn't need it. He rejected it without a second glance. He came to find me in the car park shortly after and apologised to me. He said he felt a real idiot apparently his initial reaction was that I was selling him something.

  5. Very nice, Ilona.... most of the fun of doing something kind for someone is NOT talking about it.

  6. Random acts of kindness are wonderful examples of human compassion ~ my only concern with the contents of this particular video were some of the dangerous consequences that could happen by stopping on a busy road, especially in such wintry conditions. I would never have thought about this as a problem until a young woman in Quebec stopped to let some ducks cross the road...her stopped vehicle was hit by two motorcycles, resulting in the death of two people. http://www.hlntv.com/video/2014/06/23/save-ducks-highway-park-2-dead-life-sentence. Not wanting to add sadness to your uplifting post, but just a reminder that when driving on the road, there are many things to take into consideration...

  7. Enjoyed the video. There are nice people in the world. I've always believed in the idea of 'pay it forward'

  8. Okay, so I cried thru most of those. I am in the middle of drafting a letter to my kids about gifting to my hubs and I next year. We would like for them to clean out closets and donate, give to charities and volunteer instead of spending money on us. All I would like is a note telling is what they did. I have ENOUGH stuff.

  9. Thank you for this beautiful video. I cried, particularly when people helped the elderly across the road.

  10. There are so many good people in this world, doing little random acts of kindness .... without them where would we be. I try to do as many as I can while I'm out and about, after all it makes the person doing the act of kindness feel as good as the person receiving it. There are so many ways to make a persons life that little bit easier, taking time to hold open a door for a mum with a pushchair or picking up a dropped walking stick or glove, the list could go on and on.

It's a shame we have so many folks that have these little cameras fitted to their cars (although in some places it is mandatory) but in this day and age of insurance scams they are a very worthwhile addition to your car.
