Lets twist again

Hello. Nice to see you, to see you nice. The bags are finished, and they look fab. They are strong, good for carrying spuds, and books, and anything heavy. We will be having a stall to raise money for our rescue cats at our village fete next month, so these will be for sale.
Sometimes the kid in me just can't resist playing. I wondered what this soft twist plant ties was about when I saw it in Poundland, so I bought one thinking I could do something crafty with it.  Ooooh look, you can twist it into any shape you like and it stays there. It's got wire running through the centre of it. I think I will have fun with this, could be a new trend. Pity it only comes in green, it would be great if they made it in several colours.
My lunch yesterday, salad with a portion of quiche, and a wedge of French brie cheese. If you are wondering why I am eating a lot of beetroot, it's because I found a pack at 10p and I already had some opened in the fridge. Well I had to have it at that price, didn't I. Besides beetroot is good for me.
I see we have some new readers, welcome people, glad you could make it.

    1. Hi Tessa. I don't make quiche. I don't use my oven at all, due to the cost of the gas. I don't bake, roast, or make bread. Tesco quiche is £1, Aldi quiche is £1.19. I don't buy it on a regular basis, just as and when I fancy it.

  12. You could cover that wire in tubes of fabric - like bendy piping. There! I'm sure that will help your creativity on the way xx

    1. Good idea to cover it. I thought about painting it, but it would probably crack.

  14. LOVE the bags...practical and cheerful.
You inspired me to make some myself.. I used a remanent of blackout curtain (very strong and lined). It was really bright and the bags turned out brilliantly.... if I don't say so myself!! Thanks for sharing. Cheers

  15. I nearly bought some of that twisty tie stuff, then I remembered all the rolls and rolls of string I've got to use up so I thought better of it. I can't wait to see what you decide to do with it :-)

  17. Hi.Your bags look lovely and will be a bright beacon calling people to buy things from you to support a very good cause.Love beets and have found baking them as you would a potato makes them very easy to peel -just be rubbing them with your fingers-after cooling down somewhat. My friend taught me that.Your food look very tasty.Yes, it would be a good thing if the green twisty ties came in different colours for other crafty projects. We finally had a good rain, gardens were drenched and the plants are looking happy again.Bye for now,D.
