Hello, back again. Oh Lordy, I've spent some money today, stocked up on pet food mainly. Heidi will only eat the small pouches of Sheba, six for £1.50. Bugsy has taken a liking to Gourmet Gold, three small tins for £1. Mayze likes her sliced chicken or turkey or ham, around a pound a packet. All the cats like the Ultima dried food, can get it from the £1 shop. And Rocky likes the Chicken Jerky and the Frolics. Me, what do I get? Anything that's reduced from Tesco, or cheap from the cash and carry.
Here's the breakdown of spends.
Wilco £4.10. cat and dog food.
Poundland £10. Ultima dried and cooked meats.
B & M discount store £9.93. Sheba cat food, deli dog treats.
Home Bargains £11.05. jerky fillets, vinegar, bleach, body lotion, Nivea soft.
Poundworld £5. Gourmet Gold cat food, chicken dog treats.
Cash and Carry £8. Tripe dog treats, wet dog food, muesli, linseeds, malt loaf.
Market £4. Frolics and dog treats.
Tesco £9.81. Cat litter, cat food, milk, bread, pasta salad, salad leaves, yogurts.
Tesco filling station £40.31. Petrol fill up.
Good grief, £82.20.
Ooops, nearly forgot, add one more pound to that for this skirt from Age UK charity shop. It would look lovely on someone of a more senior disposition, 75 or 80 perhaps. Lovely fabric and it looks brand new. Fabulous vibrant colours, not for me to wear, I can see cushion covers.

Talking of School dentists, mine was a nightmare. Don't think any of us pupils learnt a thing during the weeks he was in his office (came twice a year). Sat shaking waiting for that terrible knock on the classroom door. I once passed out in his office. Shudder!! Happy weekend to you and the four-legged. ReplyDeleteHiya Pam. You've just reminded me, I used to faint a lot when I was younger, was often sent home from school looking deathly white. It usually happened when I was faced with a particularly daunting problem in the maths class. That's why I am thick stupid with numbers, ha ha.

DeleteIlona - my dog has dry dog food which is good for him but he doesn't overly care for, and one sachet of sheba cat food as well. at least it used to be sheba. someone bought me waitrose essential cat food to try which I expected to have to pass on, but he loves it much more than sheba, and it's 12 sachets for £2.25. he always been really fussy and turned his nose up at everything else so I was really surprised when he took to it so enthusiastically. so just in case you are ever past a waitrose.... I must be an old lady because I liked the look of that skirt and , before I read what you wrote about it, I thought you would be cutting it down to your slim size and would look very good in it! JanF
ReplyDeleteHi. I don't very often wear a skirt, except when it is too warm for trousers, and not warm enough for shorts. No point in cutting it down to fit me, it would stay in my wardrobe till next summer.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you didn't buy that skirt to wear! But seat cushions, maybe for the summer house, would be fabulous. The cat and dog food take precedence? I think they are just a bit picky. My daughter's dog is visiting and she needs some fancy "wet" dog food, or she won't eat.
ReplyDeleteHi.I'm very partial to the pattern in the" new to you skirt."The fabric would be great,perhaps, as a valance or cushion covers or used for quilting.We have drapes in a larger pattern in earth tones that are recently new to us in our family room,very similar to your skirt.You scooped a nice bargain there,Ilona.It's a classic.Your critters eat well,and you are a very good "Mummy"to them.So interesting to see how you spend on the necessities for just you.Food and gas are our biggest expenses.I loaded up on some staples this past weekend and some extras for visitors and was surprised at the cost.So I can relate to your "good grief" comment.Yikes,for me too.Bye for now,D.
ReplyDeleteNo, I certainly can't see you wearing that skirt, although the fabric is nice. It's much to grown up for you!!! The photo on the right in the shorts and striped tee shirt is much more you and a very good photo it is.
