Hello. I'm having the day off today, so I'll leave you with this little titter. You can't beat a good old fashioned British comedy, and Some Mothers Do 'Av 'Em, was one of the best. Michael Crawford aka Frank Spencer did his own stunts, he is so funny.
Catch you tomorrow. Toodle pip
Ilona, were you driving the yellow lorry?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laughs. Have a good evening.
ReplyDeleteOh dear just watched this clip. Hilarious can't stop laughing. Fab start to Monday morning.
ReplyDeletebrilliant - thanks for the memory and a great laugh to start the day. elf and safety probably wouldn't allow it now
ReplyDeleteThat programme made me laugh my socks off - so, so funny!
ReplyDeleteThat takes me back. I was living in Edmonton when he did the roller skate stunt near Pickets Lock. My mother loved the program and I have fond memories of her crying, literally with laughter.
ReplyDeleteHeard your radio interview with Vanessa Feltz; thought she was very abrupt and kept butting in before you could answer her questions. The Radio Leicester one was better, he was very polite and genuinely seemed interested in your lifestyle. I do enjoy your blogs - keep up the inspirational work. Amanda
ReplyDeleteA funny guy for sure. Slapstick comedy is always fun....Jerry Lewis.
ReplyDeleteHe was really funny in that series. Did I see a Ford Capri? I liked Capris.
ReplyDeleteI used to love that and remember that episode. It was really good to see it again. So funny and amazing when you think that he did all his own stunts.
ReplyDeleteI must be odd-one-out because I absolutely hated watching this at the time, while all around would be laughing I would be cringing! Not watching again
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I used to think this was hilarious. There is something about growing up and becoming a mother where the thought of someone hurting themselves actually makes me quite anxious. What a brilliant comedy actor though, thanks for reminding me of this, I might show my daughter and see what she thinks.
ReplyDeleteLooking back at Michael Crawford now, it's hard to believe how he matured into The Phantom of the Opera! I saw him as Phantom, he was superb, there aren't words to describe how wonderful he was!
ReplyDeleteMy parents names were Frank and Betty, so I'm sure you can imagine how many comments of the 'cat, whoopsy and beret' type there were in our house!
