Hello and Good Morning. It's stopped raining, YIPEEEE, I can now go out. Anyone remember these skinny dollies I made last year? I am making some more. I like having small projects on the go, something I can pick up for half an hour or so. Not sure what I'm going to do with them, maybe they will sell on the cat stall at the next show in August.
If you fancy having a go, I made a 10 minute video to help you. It took five hours to load this on yooootooob, yesterday.
The plan for today is take Bailey poodle a walk, and go to town this afternoon. I need cat food for Heidi, and pay my water bill into the bank.
I'll leave it with you. Please email any pictures of skinny dollies you have made.
Last day of June for the Walking Group. Please send in your mileage tomorrow. Thank you.
Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

Hi Ilona, I love your skinny dollies; they're supercute.
ReplyDeleteSince I'll be out of town tomorrow without internet access I'd like to send my 'kilometrage' for the month of June, which is 53 kilometres, making a total so far of 539.
Cheers from a happy walker in The Netherlands!
Jeanneke.
Hi Ilona,
ReplyDeleteI love your skinny dollies, I'm sure they'll sell!
Just wanted to say I really love your blog. I work in an office and having a read with my cuppa is a great part of my day :)

How cute! I will try my hand at making some of those for my little nieces.
ReplyDeleteI came to your blog late so I'm not part of the walking group but you and your readers have inspired me so I'm going to get active. Did 10312 steps yesterday but going for a long walk tomorrow so I should rack up a few more. Thank you for the inspiration, Ilona.
I love your little dollies, they are so colorful and immediately "groovy baby" comes to mind :)
ReplyDeleteThe dollies are really great, I love them. You are so clever to be able to create small things as well as the large projects (like the shed) that you do so well. JanF
ReplyDeleteReally cute ! I'm sure people will love them. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make time today and watch your video and see how to do your dollies. Natalie
ReplyDeleteThey would be great little projects for craft fairs and school fetes. People could sit and make them at a crafting afternoon and donate them to the school. My mind is spinning and I will have to make a few later today.
ReplyDeleteIlona, what I absolutely love about this is it harkens back to when we were growing up ... if you wanted toys, you made them. If you had crayons, construction paper, perhaps a discarded box, you were set for hours of fun. Children you have rooms filled with cheap junk that breaks almost immediately, and ends up in a landfill somewhere. Hooray for imagination!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy your videos Ilona-Great dollies.I expect you could make wobbly tailed cats too x
ReplyDeleteHi Ilona your dollies are the cutest little dolls, I love them, they brought happy memories back time of a seaside trip when I was younger and all the dolls had stripey legs. I wish I was clever enough to sew one. Delightful they are. Maggie x
ReplyDeleteHi Ilona x please can you post a bit more detail about stitching the dollies face? Many thanks x
