A busy library

Luckily I have some sewing with me, I joined in with the Craft and Chatting group today. It's a similar set up as the group I go to on a Monday, take your own work and chat. Coffee and tea available. The library is used by all kinds of groups as a meeting place. There's a busy cafe which is very popular, and loads of computers which are always in use.
A surprise visitor today, blog reader Jane from Derby, and her beautiful daughter, dropped by to say hello. It was lovely to see them both.

Tattybyes for now. ilona

  2. It looked so good to see your work in situ. It was so nice to see that it was hung up quite high it's so awkward to get down when you are elderly. I hope you have sold a lot and had lots of visitors.

  4. It's nice to see a craft group at the local library. I'm afraid we can't do that at our libraries. There are many libraries here and they do have excellent programs making full use of the facilities for many events, films, workshops and free computing. Everything is always fully subscribed. For crafting one would have to go somewhere else which is a pity. I'd like it all under one roof ;-)

  8. In light of a comment Debi made the other day, and your comments on that post, I was wondering how long it took for a one way drive from your home to Burton library. Not that it would be a big deal for you, with your previous life as a lorry driver. :-)

    1. One hour and 45 minutes that's keeping up to the speed limits. A bit longer if there is congestion. I flick around the radio stations to keep me entertained, there is often something interesting on Radio 4.

    2. Hi Jen,My Family from my Dads side is from Tutbury, which is about 3 miles on from Burton.I used to drive there all the time..took about an hour from Leicester.I love it there, but because my nerves are so bad now because of an accident on the M1,in a mini bus taxi...it has done me for driving that far.If it wasnt for Family commitments,I have even considered walking there!,lol.I so admire Ilona, for being able to drive the miles that she does!Hope that your all having a lovely weekend,xx
