This song has come back into my life again, I was head over heels in love with it many years ago, and played it over and over again. I filled one side of a cassette tape and off it went for 45 minutes, pure bliss. Yes, I still have it.
Brendan the piano player who entertains commuters and shoppers at various venues around London played this recently and it has re ignited my love of this music.
I don't know what it is about this music that arouses such passion in me. It is gentle and calming and relaxing, then it builds up into a rousing crescendo.
I'm chuffed. I've been asked to do a 30 minute talk at the Sewing Studio at Jaylaurs, in Brigg on their Sewing Saturday event on the 5th of October. Talking about what I make and how I make it, sharing ideas to create inspiration. That will be a lot of fun.
Thanks to the walkers for checking in, keep on keeping on. Got to get on now. I've just made a video which I am not too happy about so I'll have to re do it. I want to learn a bit of editing and that is going to take time.
Toodle pip. ilona
It's lovely and so was the video.

DeleteJust Beautiful Ilona I will be listening to this a lot, never heard it before so thank you,
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful music. I've heard the piece often but didn't know what it was called. It is so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I pressed the video I remembered the music.I had forgotten all about this and you are right,it is beautiful to listen to.I have a Richard Clayderman LP that I bought from a charity shop about 10 years ago,so I will have to sort it out and start playing it again.I used to think he was quite a hunk when he was younger, lol. He reminded me of the Austrian ski instructor I knew many many years ago!.The video is lovely to watch because I used to love Paris when I was younger. It is far to expensive though and I remember the last time we visited being charged £11 for 2 small beers..that was bout 25 years ago.I think that we were ripped off! It is a lovely city to walk around though.Good luck with the talk you are doing.I bet that you are looking forward to that,xx
ReplyDeleteI think he is still quite a hunk now :o)
DeleteI have never been to Paris, perhaps I should have done before the camp sites appeared.
It is beautiful music Ilona. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the upcoming talk.
