Who would have thought that adding a splash of Fruity Mead to a bowl of porridge, bananas, cherries, and blueberries, would give it that extra zing. Start your day with a ZING.
It was manic crazy this morning at Crafty Club. I took a load of wool with me, selling it for the family up the road. They want to get rid of it so it was priced super cheap. People went home with bulging bags.Today was our Christmas party, there was the aroma of warming food drifting in from the kitchen, soup and hot savouries were served. Followed by sweet delights, cake and chocolate. If we grow any bigger we will not fit in the room. We are six years old, and meet every Monday morning in the Village Hall.
An update on the latest arty picture I am working on. Still a bit more to do. Watch this space.
Heidi has found a new comfortable bed. I have brought the cushions indoors for the winter, from the chair in the Summer House. Wedged between a set of drawers and a cupboard, with a pillow on top, they make the ideal cat bed.
This afternoon I did a five mile walk, and just got back in time as darkness was falling. More about that tomorrow.
Toodle pip for now. ilona
Good morning Ilona, sounds like a lovely party! Weather very changeable here, 20degC yesterday, 28 today and 40 deg predicted for tomorrow! A bit hot for Christmas parties on tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteYour latest creation is looking beautiful already, do you sell your crafts?
ReplyDeleteHello. I am not in a hurry to sell my bigger pictures, I like to keep them a while until I have enough for an exhibition. I sell some smaller items, but only face to face, locally. I don't want to get into distance selling, too many regulations, too much hassle, and I only take cash. I give some things away.
DeleteGlad you all had an enjoyable time love the photo of Heidi on her seat she is my little Amys twin they look so much alike. Enjoy your week Ilona and love to your sweet little cats. Love Liz Amy and Benny.xxx

ReplyDeleteWhat is Mead?
ReplyDeleteIf you google, 'What is Mead', this is what you find.
DeleteMead (/miːd/, from Old English medu) is an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with various fruits, spices, grains, or hops. The alcoholic content ranges from about 3.5% ABV to more than 20%. The defining characteristic of mead is that the majority of the beverage's fermentable sugar is derived from honey. It may be still, carbonated, or naturally sparkling; dry, semi-sweet, or sweet.
