Join me for a chat on the bench

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring, he went to bed and so on and so on. I've been filling up the brown wheelie bin with garden waste, now I've had to come in. I've made a start on tarting up the Directors chair, I think it's going to look fab. I collected a couple of picture frames from a woman who was advertising them for free in the village. Square wooden frames, I can do something with them.
It was a much better day yesterday for a walk, glad I went, took the opportunity while it was fine.
The rain is not going to stop so I'll go to Go Outdoors and buy some things I will need for camping. Waterproofs and wellies if this rain is going to keep on.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. I enjoyed your chat vid! Lovely countryside. Here in Scotland, we do seem to be a lot more cautious and the lockdown restrictions are a lot stricter than down in England. Am not sure when the ferries, for example, are going to be back to their usual timetables - we don't even have our buses running normally yet. There's been no buses down my locality for months now. Campsites of course are still shut too. Even the big Edinburgh Festival has been cancelled. I fear your Outer Hebrides trip may not be a goer for this year sadly. Gillian

    1. Thanks for the update on the situation in Scotland. I'll have to stay in England for the time being. I've been shopping and have everything I need for camping. I am ready, just need to book a pitch on a site.

  2. Love hearing the birds in the background. Like you, I have a usual route that I sometimes do the opposite way just for a change. So nice that you are so crafty and have things you can do inside.

  3. Lovely to hear and see you on the video! I never think to take a brolly on my walk as it's usually too blowy round here. I'm nearly as excited about your camping trip as if I was going myself! DH is talking about replacing his car with a camper van again...Vickix

  5. How lovely your chat was, I did enjoy it. I'm in Western Aus so things are opening up again, but I'm being extra cautious about going out and about again, but am off to Albany to get my car serviced and stay with my sister and brother in law, and it will be lovely to see them again, and am sort of looking forward to the visit, as the regions have been closed off and I havent been able to go.

  6. Yes, Ilona! People who think the pandemic is over are ruining it for the rest of us, indeed. You can see the result of that in our United States at the present moment. Our virus numbers are higher than before and things are locking down once again. Ugghh!! My hubby & I simply stay home... we're lucky enough to be able to do that. I so enjoyed your video and am enjoying your blog itself. I'm happy I found it, however that came about.... I don't remember. :-) Love, Andrea xoxo

  7. Your video was like a breath of fresh air to us in Lock Down Leicester.Me and my family dont know what it is like, apart from sitting in the garden. On a positive note,I have used lots of old paint up..giving our garden furniture another years use.Like I said yesterday,4 people next door but one to me have covid 19,and I dont want to even walk near their car..which is parked next to mine.I saw one of them come out to their dustbin..,no mask,no gloves..hold the dustbin handle and push it.Our bin men come tomorrow. They wear no gloves or mask from what I have seen before.I loved your video, because it gave me a taste of life before lockdown Leicester.Best wishes Ilona and every one else reading here, xxx
