Good evening. I have a few prepared drafts in my folder, this is one of them. I spy a party going on in my garden. The wood pigeons usually do their courting in the trees at the bottom of the garden. Looks like they are having a little get together on top of the hedge.
My neighbour told me that pigeons mate for life. Also all year round.

DeleteThe birds have got a better social life than me!.In fact my treat of the day,is feeding the seagulls,magpies ect that all wait every morning to see what tasty morsels I have for them.They swoop down like its an all day buffet,lol,xx
ReplyDeleteI think what you have there is two adults, with the white rings around their necks, and two juveniles, without neck rings yet, probably offspring of the older birds. So - it's a family party!
