Nothing is safe these days. Nail down your possessions. Lock your doors. Watch over your animals 24/7. Leave nothing to chance. Desperate times means everything is a target for theft. Now it's diesel. Lorries are being targeted for their fuel, tanks are being drilled to empty them. Depot's are being broken into overnight.

The term liquid gold is correct, Ilona, as diesel has just reached £1.897 per litre near us. The thieves are disgusting and I hope they get caught.

I put petrol in my car on Thursday. It was £1.55 a litre, which I think is not bad. I expect to see it go up.
