Good morning. I haven't seen Dan the Black Belt Barrister for a while, but he has popped up on my sidebar. Always good to see what he is talking about. He has an enormous wealth of knowledge, as you would expect from a person who's job it is to know the law.
If you are thinking about getting solar panels you need to watch this. People are looking for ways to cut their electricity bills, and solar seems the obvious solution. Here Dan explains how he got sucked in by a company's sales pitch. There were many warning signals along the way, I am surprised he let the sales pitch go so far.
Reading other people's comments following the video is enlightening. Learn how some of them have been taken for a ride and fallen for the sales chat. As with anything which involves a large amount of money, check things out.
Thanks for popping in. See ya later. Toodle pip. ilona
Solar power in places with relatively few sunny days per year, is never a smooth procedure /solution. Technology can't always get it all.
ReplyDeleteThere is a massive solar farm near my village. It looks ugly. It would be interesting to know whether it is a good use of land space, and if it produces enough electricity.
DeleteOnly need the UV rays not strong sun Andy
ReplyDeleteI think the technology will become more sophisticated as time moves on.

ReplyDeleteI watched this through and found it really interesting. They really tried it on with him, were very pushy wanting money right away. Tried to get away with giving him cheaper panels, promising an upgrade that didn't exist etc. Well worth watching if you're considering solar panels or anything expensive as he tells you a lot about consumer rights.
Yes, the buying process is interesting. The video is not about whether solar works or not, it is about the lengths that companies and their sales teams will go to, to sell their products. Dan is well able to hold his own where matters of the law are concerned. We can learn from him.
