Are you serious?

Nellie speaks.

New drive to get jobless Britons back to work. The Telegraph. -----What! You paid people to stay at home, and you closed thousands of businesses. Hundreds if not thousands have enjoyed an easy life with the freedom to do as they like. Meet up with their friends in the pub, take the kids out, walk the dog. Now you want them to get up at 6am and get on their bikes to go to work on a freezing winters morning in the dark. I don't think they are going to go for that idea.

Work to start on huge new £200 million development on the edge of Hull. Work on the site of a new technology park near Hull is expected to start early next year. It is currently a greenfield site. Hull Live News. ------Oh for goodness sake. Do we really need more technology, more electronics, more gadgets? What about building some houses for all those people who have nowhere to live? Give them a plot so they can grow food. We need more food.

Suella vows to do whatever it takes to tackle migrant crisis in the channel. Hull Live article.  -------Well well Sue, I wonder what idea you are going to come up with next. You know very well that the Government does not view it as a crisis. You, and the others that came before you have been managing this particular open borders plan, so don't come the old, 'oh dear what can we do about it' whinge. You talk about a perilous crossing and people endangering their lives in rubber boats. Not that dangerous, when they are escorted across. Pull the other leg, Sue. It will be interesting to see what new ideas you come up with. I won't hold my breath.

Health and wealth divides in UK worsening despite levelling up drive. Article in The Guardian. People in the UK are getting sicker and poorer, with a gaping health and wealth divide between regions that is only getting worse. -------OK, so what was the levelling up all about, and where has it gone? Another hairbrained idea from those wealthy people who are supposed to run the country. So why are so many people in poor health? What has been going on? What happened to the NHS? Why aren't people getting treated? Why has the cost of everything gone up? Why are people going on strike because they can't manage? Never mind levelling up, there needs to be some levelling down.

Climate change will make levels of migration soar in the future, says former MI5 boss. The Telegraph reports. Baroness Manningham-Buller who was director general of the spy agency between 2002 and 2007, was speaking about the importance of food security at a National Farmers Union event. You can read up about Eliza here. She said, at least 216 million people could be forced to migrate in the next 30 years.------- I'm not sure about forced to migrate, they will choose to move to a country which offers better prospects than what they already have. Worldwide access to the internet means that those who are not happy where they are will seek fortune elsewhere. The message of climate change is the new crisis. That is the plan. It will be ramped up and will be an incentive for people to move to a better place.

Thank you Nellie, for your views. Those few snippets of wisdom will no doubt cause some readers to blow a gasket, others will marvel at your amazing grasp of the current situation. 😁😂😎😍😝

Catch ya later. Toodle pip.   ilona
