Fujitsu’s European boss Paul Patterson told MPs today;” We were involved from the very start. We did have bugs and errors in the system and we did help the Post Office in their prosecutions of the sub-postmasters and for that we are truly sorry.
Both Fujitsu and PO lied and lied to the courts.
A number of their executives will now go to jail and hopefully both companies will pay out billions in compensation.
Coffee Morning this morning. Catch you on the flipside.
ilona.
My local postmaster paid 40k to the post office because Horizon said he had a shortage. He always swore he didn't steal it. His family lost their home and their shop. Also subjected to racist abuse in the street. Where did all the money go that others paid in to stay out of prison? It must have been thousands and thousands but auditors missed it? I think it was a huge cover up fuelled by back handers. Hope all those executives and managers go to prison and the innocent postmasters get all their money back and good compensation.
ReplyDeleteThe whole thing is shocking. Just shows how corrupt our Government is.
DeleteI hope these poor people receive the compensation they deserve although nothing is really going to restore lives that were ruined as a result of a computer software error.
ReplyDeleteI’m really surprised people are so willing to download the NHS app or register
on their computer. GPs surgery’s are pestering people to do this and in my opinion it could potentially cause a lot of damage/problems. I certainly won’t be complying.
The thirst for personal details is accelerating. The sad thing is that people will go along with it. I will go to my doctors surgery if I become ill.
