Check in time for the Walking Group

It's a glorious day here. A good opportunity to get out in the garden. 
This floral arrangement in a 8inch hoop is now finished. It is how I imagined it to be. I saw a picture of something similar and so put my own spin on it. 


I wrapped the outer hoop with black ribbon because I thought it needed to contrast with the yellow background. I have tried to keep with the red, pink, and purple theme. 


I'm pleased with that. 
Here is a little reminder video for the International Walking Group members. You  can check in here and share your triumphs, and your failures with us all. The target for four months was 333 miles. I missed it, I was ten miles short. I promise to make it up during May.

    Hello there Ilona and fellow walkers, my total for the month of April is 174km (108 miles) so that brings my total for the four months to 618km (385 miles). Hopefully I can keep this up for the rest of the year! Bye for now, Phyllis Brisbane Australia.

    81 Kilometers done in April. I am enjoying my walks in and around my hometown Dokkum very much! It's always a pleasure, never boring as narture's beauty can't be boring anyhow, anytime, anywhere.

    1. Lovely to hear from you, Jeanneke. Consistent as ever, you just keep on going. I see there is an 11 cities walk taking place starting 7th May. You can go from Dokkum to Leeuwarden, 29 kilometers. Are you going to try it? I have been to Leeuwarden many years ago. On the back of my boyfriends Honda Goldwing.

  3. I didn’t think I’d do very well this month as I had my Mum’s funeral to organise and felt drained and exhausted afterwards. Many days feel like walking through treacle but somehow I’ve kept going. I managed 140 miles so my total to date is 574 miles. I’m glad I’m ahead for now as my Dad isn’t doing well so who knows what might happen. Congratulations on your latest artwork- it’s really lovely.

  4. Hello everyone. I logged in 104 miles this month which brings the yearly total to 292. I don't have a specific goal in mind but when I think about how far 292 miles actually is, I am pretty proud of myself. My husband and I visited the quilt show in Paducah Kentucky in April. It was my first time to visit - so much inspiration in one building! Hope everyone has a great May.

  6. I'm doing quite well. I think I've managed about 80 miles, not bad with my knee arthritis. I love my walking, whatever the weather!

  9. 339 miles for me! We had some rather cold days, but I like cold more than too warm. I hope I can continue like this.
    Your work of art is lovely. The things you make are always so colourful, they really bring joy and happyiness.
