Lunch out with friends today. It was our Crafty Club annual do. I had cheese and onion pie, chips and peas with veggie gravy. It was too much for me. I couldn't eat it all, brought some home in a tray and microwaved it for dinner tonight.
This afternoon I had to go out and walk it off. I love to watch the feeding frenzy following the tractors. There was three of them going up and down at great speed.
Another five miles. Those peas are creating havoc in my guts. Could possibly be a windy night.
Thanks for popping in. Have a good weekend. Toodle pip. ilona
Looks like a great Friday. The cats better hang on tonight in all the possible wind 😂😂
ReplyDeleteHello Tammy. It was a smashing day. I am not looking forward to the winter months, but I can find simple things to do which give me pleasure.
DeleteThat pie and chips look really yummy, don’t think I could have eaten it all in one sitting either 😂 love leftovers though
ReplyDeleteSeveral other diners were taking their leftovers home as well. Most of them had the carvery and self served the vegetables. Some of the plates were piled high. My mum told me to always eat everything given. My meal was served on the plate, I didn't have a choice of how much I got. I like peas, but not that many. I don't make gravy at home. Too many chips and the pie was too big. I should have had the carvery but without the meat. Just vegetables would be fine for me.

Your pie made me think of today's news and how pie, mash and liquor (parsley sauce) was discussed in parliament today. You would think all was well in the world. Mags.
ReplyDeleteHello Mags. There seems to be an obsession to put everything in a pie. My guts are only just returning to normal after that pie on Friday. I don't make gravy, there were too many peas, and the chips were small and scraggy. I don't like eating with a group of people. Chattering around a table of food, talking with your mouth full, rushing your food down, is not good for the digestion.
