Entertainment in the churchyard

Hello. A quick post today, I'm off out soon.
Last night I couldn't find Heidi, I searched everywhere, and here she is, hiding behind the lights, between the speakers on the top of the cupboard. She does cause me some consternation sometimes, little madam.
Me and the pooch usually go for a bimble round the church yard before it gets too dark. There was a lovely red sunset last night.

Thursday is bell ringing practice, it starts at 7.30pm and finished at 9pm. I've made this little video which you might like, just caught the last peel of bells. Apparently it's called, ringing down the bells.

Right, off to meet my sister at their caravan which is on a site not too far away. An afternoon of scoffing and natter. Lets hope the sun holds out so we can sit outside. I have been told to bring my own chair. Thanks for popping in.

  1. Another nice video! how to you upload a video onto Blogger, Ilona? I have a couple but I'm baffled as to how to get them from my thumbdrive onto my blog. Or perhaps you need a smartphone to do this? I don't have one, but still hope to post videos if I can find out how..what posts is only a still pic from the start of the vid, not the moving video.

    1. Hi. You have to upload them to a hosting site first, the most common one is youtube. Then you click on share, then click embed, and copy and paste the code into your blog. Give it a try, you need to open an account with youtube first if you haven't got one. It will ask you your name, if you don't want to reveal your real name, use a made up one.

  8. I like that picture of Heidi behind the lights.

The bell ringing made me think of the Royal Wedding. Love the sounds. It is great to see Rocky out of his buggy sniffing around. He looks like he is doing very well. Your loving care has helped him a lot, Ilona.

  10. It was so lovely to hear the church bells Ilona. Hope you had a great day with your sister today. Another outing for Mr. Rocky too!
By the way, don't those trees in the churchyard look good after their pollarding earlier this year.

  11. Enjoyed the church bells. Whoever takes care of the church yard does a good job, very neat and tidy.

It is dark here by a little after 8:00 pm - I do miss those longer days in the U.K.

Hope you had a nice visit with your sister.

  15. We live about 100 yards from our village Church so the bells are heard very loudly in our house, but I absolutely love them!
Some new neighbours moved in about two years ago (the other side of the Churchyard to us) and started a petition to get the bells silenced, not just at night, all the time! Needless to say, they didn't get far with that idea, and strangely enough, they sold up and moved again within five months! If someone buys a house near a Church, surely they expect peels of bells!
Rocky's looking well, lovely to see him 'bimbling' about!

  17. That was lovely! Can I ask about those little trees? Are they a certain type, or are they just pruned that way? Rocky is looking handsome as ever.
