I have a plan. If someone looks interested in one of my pictures, and can't quite make up their mind whether to buy it or not, I will try a spot of bribery. If after much discussion, shall I shan't I, dithering about, well I don't know, perhaps maybe, they are going to need a push in the right direction.
This is when I play my ace card. I tell them I have a special offer on today, for one day only. I think this would swing it, they are not going to be able to say no.
Yes pure genius. I so envy your energy for making things. I have so many ideas in my head of things I want to make but either haven't got the energy or motivation to get things made. Good luck with the artwork show.

The bags look lovely but I'm afraid your sales technique would put me off buying. I hate it when being pressurised by any salesperson and the slightest hint of it and I'm out of the door with a firm No Thank You.

ReplyDeleteHa ha, I hope so. I don't believe in the hard sell, because I don't fall for it myself. I shall enjoy the chat, meeting people, talking about my art, how I made it. If any of it sells that will be a bonus. I will still give the bags away because I like surprising people.
DeletePure genius just so long as they are not a bagaholic like me. Totally lost track just how many bags of all varietys I have...perhaps another will fit in somewhere? Would some of your exhibition items fit into your freebie bags Ilona? Now that would an incentive a personalised bag to take it home in!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea, I'm still using mine from 2013. I discovered it was that old looking through some old blog photographs. A wipe now and then and it still looks like new.
