This might work

This has been hanging around for a week or two, waiting for me to come up with an idea. I could see that stitching into the wrapped wool was going to be a problem, so I have backed those sections with strips of fleecy fabric. The embroidery stitches need to be at an angle though because they could still disappear if I did them vertically inline with the wool.

Someone mentioned that they could see boats on the sea. A good idea, but in my mind I can see an underwater scene.

A dull morning here, so I may stick with this for a while.

Happy weekend.  Catch ya later.  Toodle pip.  ilona

  1. Hi, how are you doing? Just to tell you that underwater scenes are much better, what matters most is the life in the sea, not who sails the sea... I wish I could look at the work, will you show it? Missing your sarcastic mood, a bit. I believe you are not quite the same mood, it has passed a weed and still no new video.

    1. Hello. I am doing fine, thank you. I will show the work when it's done, these things don't happen quickly. Me, sarcastic, surely not, ha ha. I think of myself as being a bit cantankerous, a bit rude, and a bit of a rebel. I don't fit the normal stereo type of a 70+ pensioner. I can bump along gently in the slow lane, then rise up and spit fire if I have to. It all depends on what I read and what I see, and who winds me up. I sometimes hanker for a quiet life, water under the bridge and all that, just let it go, but has been known to enjoy a bit of argybargy to wake everyone up. I will make another video when the time is right. If I reported everything on here about what I have been finding out about this so called Convid - Plandemic, it would cause a major punchup. Maybe I'll let it ride for a while, maybe I'll stir things up later on.

    2. Ilona, I was being sarcastic...I know you are a rebel, if not, how would you have been a lorry driver?? Beautiful as you were ( still is), I wonder the stories you have to tell...
The point is that we all are a bit egoistic, me included, and I love to have a note to watch a new video, I must confess, often I forget this way to know about you. I prefer, I say your words at the same time you do..."Mean queen here, life after money" ... and in the end,..." byyyyye". Oh, by the way, fabulous photos. Your perspecive is each time better.
I hope I will return here and watch you but we never know, so many people getting real sick, with this terrible pandemic thing... I go out, each time less and less, the appointments with doctors are all failing, it looks like as if only the Covid thing exists...that is what makes me angry. By the way, tomorrow is my day... hope you will have a lovely Sunday!! Kuss kuss.

  3. Hi Mean Queen, your current artwork looks like the beginning of a Beaufort Wind scale. There's a rather good image of one at driftwooddesigns.co.uk that I happened across. It is layered in different blues and textures. Take Care

  7. Specially like the choice of colours on this one, and the way the coloured fish contrast. I think colour is very important in our lives!

  8. Wow! You are a most talented lady!! The colors look really good together, and your embroidery is beautiful. You are truly a "stitchery artist"! Keep it going. Thanks for sharing. Mary Ann in USA

  9. That hobby of yours is very nice. Good job! I can see it as an underwater scene now. I found a few sewing patterns Sunday while going through drawers I'm not gone through in awhile. One was a 3 layered skirt one can make in 4 hours. It would work, once the pattern is cut. Will see if I can find some grey fabric, as I've not been able to find a solid color skirt that color. Have a good day!
