How do I wash my hair? At the kitchen sink of course, doesn't everyone do it that way. Quick and easy, at minimal cost. Heat the water in the kettle. I use cheap Aldi shampoo, it lasts ages. I leave it to dry naturally.

This was fun to watch. I also wash my hair in the kitchen sink but I have a sprayer and use water from that. It is quick and easy. Years ago I washed it leaning over the bathtub but I'm too old for that now and it is easier at the sink. God bless

ReplyDeleteThat's easy for you ilona no faffing about and keeps the costs down .. I use cheap basic shampoos they are just as good as the one's that cost a flipping fortune!

I am a bath-taker (can't stand showers--don't like being hit by water). I wash my hair in the tub and I don't use more water than I need for the bath. I wash it before I wash my body and usually lie down in the bathwater to wet and rinse it. I usually let my hair dry naturally, but it's so short it only takes 2-3 minutes if I use the hairdryer.

ReplyDeleteI remember washing my hair in the sink many years ago when i lived in bedsits and and to share bathrooms showers etc, It brought back memories. Now i wash it under the shower so hair and body cleaned in a few mins lol. I use Aldi shampoo and condtioner as my hair is natuarlly dry and frizzy so i do need condioner or it woould be very tangly and fuzzy. I sometimes buy hair products in Dealz the Irish version of Poundland and sometimes you get brand names for 1.50 euro or a bit more but cheaper than Tesco and there is one near my house. my hair takes ages to dry being shoulder lenth and thick but a few mins blast of the hair dryer and its done in a few minutes or sometimes go mad and straighten with the brush hairdryer and straightner after. Takes longer but looks better.. Choices lol
ReplyDeleteI've always had problem hair, it's very flyaway and uncontrollable, so I have to use Dove shampoo and Dove conditioner. Then I have to blow dry it, put rollers in the top and blast them with the hairdryer to give my hair some body, then use straighteners to smooth it out. It's a pain but it's got to be done. It still looks a mess, but a nice mess instead of a horrible one, lol! Thankfully I'm not one of those people who likes every single hair in place I like it a bit wild.

I spent a lot of time on my hair when I was a teenager. Don't need to bother with it now. Trim two or three times a year. Colour twice a year. Wash and go.
DeleteNot having much hair at all I use the bathroom basin and I use very little shampoo which is some compensation for my thin hair. Saves my poor old knees kneeling down over the bathtub. I do have a lovely deep kitchen sink and the grand babies have had a good old wash sitting in the sink when they came to stay.

DeleteI can remember when my Mam used to bath me in the kitchen sink!That is before we got posh n had a tin bath that hung on the back of the kitchen door,lol.I must have been about 3 or 4 and I used to hate the feel of my back bone leaning against the side of the sink.We didnt have a proper bathroom until I was about 12.xx
