Several people have asked me to do a shopping video, so here you go. My subscribers from other parts of the world are curious about the cost of food in the UK. The comments on my channel indicate that we are not too badly off here, because they say they are paying more than us for similar products.
It is raining here and looks like it won't be stopping any time soon. I need to clean my car and strip everything out of it for the MOT test tomorrow. Looks like I will be doing that with a jacket on. Can you wash a car when it's raining? I'd better make a start.

DeleteMy dad used to say ways wash your car in the rain it softens the dirt and stops you scratching the paintwork. Wise words?

DeleteWhat is an MOT and why do you have to wash the car beforehan?
ReplyDeleteMinistry of Transport annual test. They check that everything is legal. I have to take the camping gear out and put the back seats in the upright position so they can check the seatbelts, and check the spare wheel which is behind the seats. To wash it and clean it inside is common courtesy, makes the job easier for the tester.

DeleteVery interesting video, as usual. Similar goods here in Italy (we obviously don't have the same selection sadly) would cost a lot more. We have Lidl but according to british guests who visit it is much more expensive than those in the UK. Good luck with the MOT. (Ro ~ n.w. Italy)

ReplyDeleteYes it did. Yipeeeee. No notifications. It was still raining this morning. I usually go for a walk when the car is in the garage, but today I sat in the waiting room doing a bit of stitching. People were going in and out. I turned off my hearing aid, I take my specs off when I am sewing, I was in a little world of my own. The one hour soon went.
