The hard sell

No thanks. I will carry on as I am. Eating nutritious food, from my own kitchen. Taking vitamin D and C and calcium supplements. Spending time outdoors weather permitting. Walking alone and embracing nature. Feeding my creative brain with new arts and crafts projects. Spreading a little happiness. Banishing negativity and oozing positive vibes. Living with an attitude of gratitude.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. As I see it Ilona, none of these drugs have been tested for long enough - Reminds me of my mum saying that she was glad she never took the drug Thalidomide for her morning sickness during 1959 x

    1. The Thalidomide scandal was awful. I knew someone who had a young lad with no arms and legs. I hope damaged people got the compensation they were entitled to.

  4. Definitely steer well clear of this one Ilona. Guess which drug company makes it - Pfizer!!!. I dislike how all older people are seen as one homogeneous group - frail and vulnerable. No doubt you’ll be bombarded with texts, letters and phone calls especially now the nanny state are in power.

    1. Medical care seems to be all about jab 'em up, and stuff tablets and pills down their throats. Whatever happened to visiting a doctor when you are not feeling well, getting some tests done, and getting the treatment needed to cure said illness. I wonder how much the NHS is getting paid for mass jabbing.

    2. I'm trying to opt out of all these bloody notifications - it's not clear on the website how to do it so I've had to email to ask. I don't want to hear anymore about these poisons. I trust my immune system.

    3. They can keep sending them to me, and I can keep ignoring them. I agree, it is a bit annoying.

  5. I really do think your doing great for your health Ilona. The daily walking in fresh air the healthy fruit and veg diet you eat is great. Also your mind is very active and sharp. They seem to assume all senior people need jabs for this and that and need looking after.many older people do a fine job of looking after their own health.x

    1. I know people who live their lives in a very haphazard kind of way. Eating whatever junk food they fancy, and never walking anywhere. Maybe they would benefit from some kind of medical treatment.

    1. Good morning Debi. You are old enough to make your own mind up.

  7. I too have been bombarded with requests for me to go for various jabs. No thanks. I have always gone for my flu jab but as that is changed every year I am having second thoughts now.

    1. Consider whether you need it. Consider whether your lifestyle includes mixing with other people in enclosed spaces. EG dining out, socialising in pubs, family parties. Consider whether you take any other medication. Consider if you have any other health issues. Consider if it has worked for you in the past. Then decide.
