More pics of the quilting show.

Hello.
As well as all the beautiful quilts on display there were also a lot of stalls selling everything you need to make your own artistic masterpiece. Ladies were loading up their bags. For a lot of people an outing to a sewing show is a must. Many of them travel miles because there are no arts and craft dedicated shops in their area. Here it's very convenient, everything under one roof.

I found a box full of zips, four for £1. Couldn't resist having a rummage in that. All colours and all lengths. I spent £3 and bought 12. Not sure what I am going to do with them, but I've made a start by  sewing them together.
Here is the walk around the quilts video I recorded.
I joined the ladies at Crafty Club this morning. We had a laugh and put the world to rights.
Thanks for popping in. Now I'm off out to do a litter pick before it gets dark.

    1. I can always have a chat with people at an arts and crafts show.

  2. What an awesome display. I am sure artists enjoy seeing others work for future projects. The amount of time and effort in those large pieces… it just boggles my mind. They have to work on them like a 9-5 job.
Do you ever get discouraged at cleaning the same area many times over and people just keep tossing things out the car window 🙄. Your village council should give you kudos often for helping keep the village tidy. You are treasure mother!!!

  3. Those huge quilts are, as you say, a full time job to work on and complete. Although I can see the skill in the ones with the animal centrepieces, I think I am still a traditionalist at heart, especially when it comes to quilt making myself. If you look at your photos, you took one of Doughty's, my "local" quilting shop (in Hereford, 45 miles away). They go to all the big shows.

    Thank you for sharing.

    1. I notice that some of the trade stands come from far and wide. I see the same ones at most shows.
