Conversation with my mother

Good morning, just, it's almost midday. I put this video out four months ago, but didn't post it on the blog because I knew I would get a lot of stick from the haters. By haters I mean the people who come here day in day out, and send me numerous nasty comments. It is like some kind of obsession they have, but no matter, I am very quick on the delete button.
As time goes on my beliefs are growing stronger. Now I am ready post this video here. Some of you may have seen it on the other channel, you may want to move on and wait for the next posting. I thank you for watching if you have seen it before.
I am proud of this video.
It's a sunny day, I have a line full of washing outside, I don't expect it all to dry, I will get it in if the weather changes.
I have a few plans for this week, when the businesses open up again after the extended break. I want to get some quotes for jobs that need doing around the house. Need to pay a couple of bills. Want to have a practice bike ride. Thinking about the Walking Group, I'm looking at a separate page for it where the members can check in any time. That will spread the work over the whole year rather than a frenzy of activity at the beginning of every month. And there is a Billy dog walk planned for this afternoon.
Thanks for popping in. We'll catch up soon. Toodle pip.   ilona

  2. I watched the video on Y.T. when it appeared there. And then sent it to - at least - 5 different people. The statements you made were that correct. That's when I started having my morning coffee with the Life After Money/Love My Life blog & following your Y.T. channel. And, seriously contemplating a trip to England so I could purchase some of your art! Stay well, Ma'am.

    1. Thank you Edith. If you do come to England, you would have to bring an empty suitcase to take it all back with you :-)

  5. That is a really great video. My mom and I had nice visits while she was alive but almost 10 years later I find myself at times thinking oh I need to ask mom about that next time I see her. I bet your Mum would be so happy with how many people's lives you have touched.

    1. Thank you Kay. My mum was a very happy person, considering she had a lot of heartache in her life. I think I inherited some of her resilience.

  6. Ilona you have such strength and courage. You live to the beat of your own drum and l wish l was more like you. I took part in the 'experiment' twice and paid dearly for it. Experiment number 3 invite came and l swiftly deleted the email. You don't live in fear and that is my goal this year to stop living my life for others and to live it for myself. Thank you lovely lady for speaking the truth๐Ÿ˜˜ xxx

    1. Thank you Lee Lee. I love the goal you have set yourself. All it takes is self belief. I was a shy child, and shy teenager. It was a struggle for me to get my first job, to get my first boyfriend. I was so slow and naive. I made myself leave home and get a flat. That was a challenge. The turning point was when I threw myself in at the deep end passed my HGV test, and started driving. It was very scary, but I stuck with it. You wishes will come true if you consider all the options in front of you.

  8. Wishing you the best year ever, Ilona. I find encouragement, laughter and fun in your posts and Youtube videos. You've taught me a lot about staying true to myself despite what others' say, as well as carving out a life for myself that suits me, not someone else. Thank you.

  9. When I was unwell about 5 weeks ago the Dr at hospital was concerned I may have a blood clot on my lung - luckily no evidence on the x ray - but it does make me wonder what those chemicals I had injected into me really were x

  10. Thats a lovely video Ilona.I know what you mean when we say we wished we had listened more to things our parents told us.May be asked more questions. My Dad was very good at predicting the future of this country, even from when I was a young age.And he was so right!!.I just wish that I had asked him more about his upbringing.I know that they had it hard when his Dad died at only 49 and his Mam was left with 5 kids to bring up in a very small village. But they got by and were happy!.xx
