Checking out Bedale, again.

Good afternoon. It's Sunday and I am still waffling on about my Yorkshire break. Day two and I am in Bedale. It's morning and most of the market is in full swing, except for one trader who is yet to set up his stall.
Where do you fancy going? I have been here before. If you want to see my previous posts click on the links. 15th May 2022.
I also passed through Bedale as part of a long walk, 5th May 2014. Photo's on these two posts are very similar to what I have here. I must look for new places I haven't been to before.
Five years ago these stones were painted and set in concrete. Sadly some of them are faded. If I lived here I would bring some paint and a brush and spruce them up a bit.

Another picture of the Church of St Gregory, as seen in previous posts.

And a second video of this church. Previously seen in 2022.
Let's have a look at the station. The crossing gates were closing to let a train through just as I got there. Not a very interesting train, just two carriages.
I like these old fashioned stations. Comparing the pictures it looks very much the same as three years ago.

A couple of hours in Bedale and now I'm ready to move on. Where to next? Somewhere I spotted on the map. Thanks for popping in. Enjoy your Sunday. Catch ya later. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. Bedale is another beautiful place. The church is amazing. I am always in awe at the architecture of the wonderful buildings. When you think about they did not have all the equipment around today. It’s just WOW!!
The colored rocks are a great village reminder of a hard time. I am sure this project brought everyone together. Thanks mother for taking us along. You are my eyes and guide to all these places in the UK I would never be able to see without your sharing. 🤗🤗❤️❤️
