Big boys toys.

A quick rifle through the drafts folder this morning. The size of this load takes a lot of planning. Street furniture has to be temporarily removed to allow it to pass through built up areas. Always the same questions, why don't they take it on the motorway, and why don't they do the job at night.  It would take twice as long to complete the job in the dark.

WOW Collets are the bees knees where heavy haulage is concerned. Four tractor units, three pulling, one pushing. Truck photography by Lee Elliott.

A question in the comments.

Jonathan Jones 550 tonnes. It’s the second load to come this way this year. Pretty impressive up close

Why can’t they just go up the motorway from Avonmouth to Leigh Delamere services. ??

The bridge on M4 between j19 to j18 has max load of 120 tons so they came off on to M32 up the old road then back on M4 at j19 to continue to services.
