Too crowded for me

It's the Goth event at Whitby this weekend. I went in 2015 in April. They usually have two events a year. Here is a picture. Some weird and wonderful costumes can be seen. I like Whitby.

I wrote about this event in October 2023. I thought about going, but when I saw a video after the event I was glad I didn't go. Apparently it was very busy.
Look at it now. A picture on faceboook. A lot of the comments are saying it is completely ruined by hoards of people who are not Goths. They see it as a dressing up weekend.
That looks like hell on earth to me. It was great ten years ago. Shame that it has lost the magic of the mysterious Goth fraternity.
Catch ya later. Toodle pip.   ilona

EDIT
If you want to see pictures of real Goths, Carole Grady was there to fight through the crowds.

    1. More reports are coming out about the Goth Weekend. People managed to get some good photo's despite the crowds. A lot decided not to go at all. I hope your birthday celebrations went with a bang.

    1. I have been to Haworth, but not on a 40's weekend. I haven't been to the Dorset Steam Fair. It's a long way from North Lincolnshire. I might go one day. Prices are going up all the time. Years ago I would have said no thanks when money was tight. But now I can afford it I am still picky as to whether I go or not. These days it's crowds that put me off.

    2. Very sadly, the Great Dorset Steam Fair is no longer held. It was truly fantastic. Jacquie
