Sheridan plays Cilla

I am a bit late posting tonight. I found this film so I have been watching it. It's a long one at 2 hours 16 minutes. I have stopped it at 1 hour 30 minutes and will watch the rest tomorrow.
I saw the film when it first came out, but me being a 60's girl and a big fan of Cilla I had to watch it again. Sheridan Smith is the ideal person to play Cilla. Amazingly she sang all the songs herself. A very talented lady. If you like pop music from the 60's give it a watch.

Now I must go to bed.
Catch ya tomorrow. Toodle pip.   ilona

YESSSSSSSSSS

Good morning. I don't even like tennis. Don't understand the scoring. Can't think of anything more boring than watching people bat a ball across a net for hours.

Why do I like this picture? It's the pose that does it for me. What is going through his mind! YESSSSSSS, I did it. The determined expression on his face. The clenched fist of victory.
Yes it's good to win at the sport you love, but when you think of what he had to go through to get this far, it makes his win all the more glorious.
It's raining and I am going to Coffee Morning. Catch ya later. Toodle pip.   ilona

What did I buy from Aldi yesterday

Good evening. I recorded a video this morning. I know some of my followers like to see what food I buy and how much it costs. Yesterday I shopped at Aldi and spent £60. So here it is, some of it is laid out here in the kitchen. I forgot to mention the Potatoes au Gratin, oooops.
Some recent meals.
Steamed frozen vegetables, added to fresh mushrooms cooked in a pan. A splash of oil, and stir fry sauce.
Rice and peas in an omelette.
Frozen beans and broccoli, with pasta and cheese sauce made from a packet.
Tonight I made a risotto with mushrooms and rice. No picture, the camera is playing up. I need to visit the camera shop.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

Flags

 Keir Starmer

I’m proud of our flag as a patriotic symbol of our nation, like lots of people I’ve proudly got one up at home.
>>>>>>>Using our flag to divide devalues it.<<<<<<<<
Fancy having a Prime Minister who makes such a crass statement as that. Talk about the twisting of words to suit your own agenda. This is our Globalist puppet speaking. Following orders.

FLY YOUR BRITISH FLAGS WITH PRIDE.

Mass ham, not Masham

Hello there. Finally the last post on my recent Yorkshire trip. Big sigh of relief everyone. 😲😵😽 After a lovely stroll around the Arboretum, off I went to the last place I had noted down on the map. Masham is not like mashed potato with an 'sh', it's mass ham.

I needed petrol so I was pleased to find a garage when I got there. Then I looked for somewhere to park. The town was super busy with a main road going straight through it. I was surprised to see articulated tipper trucks to go thundering through, past the Market Square. It desperately needs a bypass. I followed the signs for Long Stay Park, thinking it might be a bit cheaper than the main car park in the centre. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this sign. Whoooopeee, I put a few coins in the honesty box. It was only a ten minute walk into town.

So here I am in the Market Square. Look what I found. Another honesty box. How fantastic, so why don't other towns adopt the same idea? Because they are run by greedy grabbing councils. I was walking across the square when a car pulled up to park. I remarked to the woman about the easy going parking arrangements. I explained that you can put any amount you like in the box, there are no tickets so no one comes round to check. We carried on chatting. They had come for a day out from Leeds, and were heading to a cafe for coffee and cake. I said I am going to have a look at the church. We chatted some more. She had a great personality, and the bonus, she was in the same wide awake club as me. The banter was brilliant, we both laughed our little socks off.
If you want to find a particular place, shops and businesses, in Masham, just look at the sign posts.

I had a look at the Church. No video this time.
Thank you for getting me here safely. Thank you for my life. Thank you for every new day dawning. 🎵🎵🎵

As I wandered around the church graveyard I wondered if I was seeing things. In the next field there was a sign on the fence saying do not feed the reindeers. What! I looked into the field, and then I did see them, quite some distance away in the far corner. They were sheltering from the sun under the trees. Get the camera out and zoom in. There they are.

This has made me gooooogle 'reindeer in Masham'. So here you go. You can hire reindeers for an event.
North Yorkshire Reindeers Facebook page.
Then I came home. Six places visited in two days. It was a smashing break. Good to get out and about. Thanks to Janet for looking after my pussies.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona
