I am so pleased that my troll is back, where have you been I missed you. I need you to keep visiting because it bumps my page views up. I'm not worried by your sarky comments, they all get binned anyway, you will never see them published on here. But please, carry on sending them because I like to see my stats growing daily. You mentioned that I didn't get many comments on yesterdays post, poking fun at me was your aim I think. You obviously don't understand how blogs work. The amount of comments is no indication of how popular a blog is, it's the number of page views which is the magic figure. A look behind the scenes tells me that post has had over 500 page views.
I'll give you some more stats being as you are so interested in my blog. The highest ever number of page views on one post is 8,064. Yes, eight thousand, so I'm hardly likely to be bothered by one post which doesn't get many comments. Number of posts in total 1,779, number of comments in total 19,264. I have racked up a total of 1,892,608 page views for the whole blog since the beginning.
Blogging is a game, it's fun, it's a hobby. Get over yourself troll, keep on visiting, it makes my stats look good.
Toodle pip.
A proper post tomorrow - a glimpse of Strata Florida tonight

Take that and put it in a pipe and smoke it...Troll!
ReplyDeleteI may not reply to a post every day but I READ EVERYDAY. :)
I love your blog, Ilona. Don't ever stop being you. ;)
Jake's a Girl
Here, here, Jake. I only comment occasionally but I ready every single night after work and look forward to it. You've inspired me a lot, Ilona so glad you are taking no notice of such people. Louise x
DeleteI usually catch up with the previous day's blog very early the next morning. Because of this, I tend not to post comments as I think they will be "stale".
DeleteI enjoy your blog, love the pictures and think your zest for life is inspiring. Keep it up please.
I read EVERY day to. Keep on writing
ReplyDeleteI'm another one who pops in everyday. Yours is one of my favourite blogs. Love the diversity of your posts. Especially love your walks and photos. Don't always comment because my iPad went funny with commenting on blogger. What a funny thing trolls are! No friends or hobbies to keep them happy?
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and log in every night.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Dianne - Hereford
I have never commented Troll but I read everyday. Go Away!!!! Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteMelissa
I have never left a comment before but I read your blog every day. What you have written about your troll is great.
ReplyDeleteWendy.
way to go Ilona! sad people with no lives out there xx
ReplyDeleteI love reading your posts, they always make me chuckle. Keep up the good work :-)
ReplyDeleteNice one Ilona.
ReplyDeleteGood one! Some people have nothing better to do.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Good point, Ilona! For a while, I was thinking about 10 people read my blog, because the same lovely few seem to comment regularly. Which was fine, because as you say, it's something I do for fun, and I enjoy the conversations with the people who do leave a comment or question.
ReplyDeleteBut then one day I discovered the "stats" page on blogger...wow! Hundreds of quiet readers, from - so far - 55 countries! Must say it is pleasant to think people enjoy the posts enough to keep coming back :)
Good on ya!
ReplyDeleteSome people need to get a life!
Keep up the good work and enjoy life.
I don't often comment but I do read.
Like the others I don't often reply, but I look forward to reading your blog every day. Keep it up, Ilona.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading your blog every evening, some very sad people out there, you have to feel sorry for them that they are consumed with so much hate and negativity. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteI read often but never comment, except now! I love your "no nonsense" style and you often make me smile! Ignore the troll and it will go away!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Ilona, excellent blog!
ReplyDeleteVirginia in Tennessee
What is wrong with some people? Anyway love your blog even though I don't comment enough (but sometimes I haven't anything interesting to say!) Can't imagine not checking here everyday...Debbie
ReplyDeleteI too read your blog every day and enjoy the variety of subjects you comment on. I also like your down to earth, plain speaking which is quite refreshing. Please don't ever change.
ReplyDeleteJoan, Wales
Good on ya Ilona. I love reading your blog every day. There are some nasty negative people around, well ya boo sucks to them.
ReplyDeleteWell said!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your posts, esp. the walking ones!
ReplyDeleteI like the recipes, and am ever trying to save money!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Ilona. why even bother to dignify his/her anonymous comment? That must be what he wants. Let him crawl back under his little bridge.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I haven't been able to read Silver Sewer lately. Do you know what happened to her? Have been wondering and hoping that nothing is wrong.
Joan in Michigan
Hi Joan. I don't know what happened to Silver Sewer. Maybe she is having a break, or given up, maybe she thinks it is not worth the hassle.
DeleteI was wondering the same Joan. They were going for a holiday in the caravan but I don't know how long for. I enjoy her blogs. Hope everything is well with her hubby and her.
DeleteSue R
Ha! To me 8 comments is huge, couldn't imagine ever getting more than that...Not even with negative trolls visiting...But if a negative troll reads this please don't bother yourself with me.
ReplyDeleteLove your attitude Ilona, so positive and upbeat, it's pleasing to read.
Barb.
I just don't understand these miserable people. I think it was because of some trolls that 'Hard up Hester' and 'Silver Sewer' closed their blogs. I enjoyed their blogs just as much as I enjoy yours. I'm glad that you can take the 'piss off' attitude that you have.
ReplyDeleteOften I check your blog more than once a day on the off chance you have slipped in an extra post! Here are two more blogs that might interest you.
ReplyDeleteToday Around Coventry Daily Photo
A Lady in London. (tons of posts about her travels around the world)
Thanks for your blogposts!
Ann in Canada
someone with a boring blog sounds jealous...
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog daily and miss it if you don't post!
Hi Ilona, Deb from Far North Qld here, I look forward to your posts every day. You're a wonderful inspiration and I love your sense of humour. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletePerhaps he or she is one of the Billy Goats Gruff. Silly Billy . Keep up the good work Ilona :)
ReplyDeleteSue R
I also read every day and really enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog after seeing you on superscrimpers. Some good down to earth common sense tips back then. Pity the program went downhill, anyway I digress. I look forward to reading your blog every morning, reading about your walks + seeing your photos. From the comments I have read above you have lots of suppoters. Take care. Ed.
ReplyDeleteYou could always call in the Three Billy Goats Gruff
ReplyDeleteI read your blog everyday. I never know what you are going to surprise me with next. I love your walking holidays but l think your fitness video is my all time favourite. Keep it up! Chris x
ReplyDeleteAren't some people pathetic if all they can do is say something mean anonymously to try and justify their futile existence?
ReplyDeleteWell said, Ilona! xxx
What a freak some people are. I have had a troll too ( ex husband eek) and they really are pathetic excuses.Your blog rocks my world!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, pathetic, exactly.
DeleteLouise From France. Never commented before but read your blog everyday and found others through your links. Love reading about your life even though we don't have a lot in common.
ReplyDeleteTake Care
My message has been picked up, sick saddo troll has been back. Go crawl under a stone you loser.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what trolls do the rest of the time when they are not writing sick comments on blogs? Do they have any sort of real life? Or is their whole world lived through other peoples blogs.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, but never comment because I am too lazy! Please ignore this horrible troll and don't even read their comments, I can't believe anyone can be so nasty :(
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog too Ilona.....I love it so much that it's listed in my sidebar under My Favourite Blogs.
ReplyDeleteSome folks have nothing to do with their lives, and as my Mum used to say, the devil finds work for idle hands.
I love your blog Ilona♥ I haven't left a comment for quite some time although I've been lurking:) Some people really do need to get a life, you have an amazing life maybe that is the problem for this particular person. How sad they have to resort to mean and nasty behaviour:( You have such a zest for life, hopefully it may rub onto this person.
ReplyDeleteDon't ever let people like that get you down. I know you are a positive person and glad to hear that you can handle whatever this troll says. I wonder why a person feels the need to comment negatively? What do they get out of doing that? Never mind, we regular readers always enjoy your posts. Keep posting all those wonderful walking trips and also all your good budget advice. I've learned a lot from you. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi I don't comment much, but, that doesn't mean I don't read your blog everyday. Some people just enjoy being mean, chin up, we love your blog
ReplyDeleteHanging really is too good for some people! Don't let the sick, disgusting, good-for-nothing trolls get you down. I can imagine he's sat there feeling very embarrassed now that you've commented about him and everybodys shown him about pathetic he is.
ReplyDeleteHe's probably heavily in debt and not even British.
You have to feel sorry for him/her really. They must have such a sad, lonely existence if that's how they have to spend their time. Or have such low self esteeem if they need to try and boost their self image by insulting others. I love your blog even when I don't always agree with your viewpoint. Its what makes it so interesting. Glad you have such a sense of humour about your troll; I know there are other people who've allowed trolls to drive them to stop blogging, which is really sad, but some people are more sensitive than others and some of these trolls can be really vicious. Anyway, keep up the good work. Helen x
ReplyDeleteLove your blog & always stop by, yes, I'm a lurker! Glad the sad trolls aren't putting you off blogging - good for you, so sad that they have nothing better to do. Please keep on blogging, we love to read it, xx
ReplyDeleteRead your blog every day - Love it!
ReplyDeleteSAD TROLL GET A LIFE OFFLINE YOU BULLY! I don't normally comment because I don't know what to say BUT I always read your blog especially as I'm from your neck of the woods originally and miss the north! Love your work xx
ReplyDeleteOh aren't trolls fun? I let mine get to me for a while (but then they were trying to destroy my marriage, and my sanity in the process) but then I worked out that they were 4,000 miles away and seriously, what damage could they really do from there? I took it as a badge of honour in the end, if my life looked so fantastic from the outside that someone was prepared to go to all that trouble to try to get what I'd got, then I must be doing something right! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha good one! Love your blog dear have a good day!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe read this and are so pleased with your sense of humour. We read it everyday but don't comment.
ReplyDeleteevening Ilona, I agree with the comments from many others, in particular Heleng and Hope, I enjoy your blogs everyday, your life is interesting, happy and inspiring shame the troll feels such a failure in life that they feel the need to bring down others! Ya right, go a stick something in an orifice troll and light the touchpaper (not sure if you will post this Ilona!!).
ReplyDeleteI also look in almost every day but hardly ever comment. I compare it to reading a book by a favorite author. The author loves to write and the readers will read it and isn't that how it is supposed to work? Once in a while I'll write a "fan mail" comment to let you know I'm still lovin it.
ReplyDeleteAnne in Pennsylvania
Danneke here, Trolls are the equivelent of anonymous letter writers, just wasters, sick people and very jeallous of other people and what they have and do. Years ago I had letters sent to me saying really nasty things, it turned out after a lot of police investigating to be a neighbour a few doors away, She got evicted from her home after a year of hate mail. Like others I enjoy reading about what you are doing Ilona and your travels keep me glued every evening to the lap-top to see where you are etc. Keep up the good work my friend and as for the Troll, Bxxxer OFF you will not stop Ilona she is a tough cookie and will beat you hands down any day.
ReplyDeleteTell him\her 'go spin' on there thumb. . .
ReplyDeleteFrom The Maddish Pet Lady
Ilona, I have been following you for a few years now and I can't wait to sit down every evening after work and read your blog. You are a very strong, positive person and I find that very inspiring. Some people just can't stand the fact that others are happy and (very weirdly) seem to find pleasure in trying to spoil that. These people are pathetic and rotten from the inside out. You quite clearly bring a lot of pleasure and interest to the lives of many and I hope that you continue to do so for many years to come. These trolls need to realise that they can carry on spitting venom at others from behind the pathetic security of their computer screens but that is all they can do, spit venom! They are just wasting their time (and life).
ReplyDeleteJust keep writing and enjoying yourself Ilona. I enjoy reading your blog everyday plus the comments. I don't often put pen to paper but sure do appreciate those who do.
ReplyDeleteHelen in France
I only comment from time to time but I have been a regular visitor and reader ever since you first set it up. I always come back because I never know what you're going to write about next- I like that in a blog.
ReplyDeleteArilx
I don't post very often Ilona but please keep doing what you're doing. The number of readers who read and value your opinions far exceed the trolls!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if trolls have trolls? Maybe you could edit the trolls comments, if they're fit for human consumption that is. Or perhaps you could edit to give the opposite meaning.
ReplyDeleteI imagine trolls know theres no come back although they'd get the shock of their lives if you found them and paid them a visit.
A few young people have taken their own lives because of trolls, its easy to take things to heart but its someone miles away having 'fun'. I'm glad you laugh it off.
Dave.
my day always starts with a read of your blog, it's like catching up with a friend, so carry on doing what you do, lets face it, you are keeping 1000's of folk happy, doing charity work, and have lots of crafts and skills to keep you busy, whereas the Troll has....er....hmm...well the highlight of their life seems to be making nasty comments that don't get printed...yep that's a really useful fulfilled life....NOT!
