A quickie video I made yesterday in Tintagel. It's a lovely place, but if you need a pee it will cost you 50p at the public conveniences. What a rip off. I was lucky, I found one at the visitors centre which was having it's entrance converted with new barriers. It was still 20p, slot in the door type. I let two other people in at the same time as I went in.

Hi Ilona Heidi Mayze and Oscar - just watched your lovely video of Cornwall. The views are outstanding and I do hope you have had a very enjoyable time there. Life is for living and i applaud you for your great adventurous spirit. You have a very positive attitude to life which is what we all need to do. Lots of love Ilona and darling pets. Love Liz Amy and Benny - ps they are improving thanks to sardines which are very good for cats.xxxxx
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful area and I loved your video.Ive not been to Cornwall for years.Infact I think my Daughter was in a buggy the last time we went..n she is 41 now, lol. We spent too many years, flying off to different places, spending hours traveling n sitting in airports...I hated flying even then....When all these lovely places are here,in our own country and easy to get to!.To be honest, the best holidays I have had in recent years are the ones in Great Britain. What a lovely way to treat yourself for your Birthday!.And yes..those toilets were a rip off!!I am looking forward to seeing some more of your holiday!xx
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely part of Cornwall. We've been there a few times, but I never ventured down that path, although the others did. We used to go to Boscastle a lot before the flood, which is also beautiful. Did you go there on this trip?
ReplyDeleteIt was on my list but I didn't have time to get there.
DeleteLove your videos
ReplyDeleteIt's such a ruggedly beautiful part of the world.

Many years since we were all down in Tintagel. The big rock you wanted to cross over to is Tintagel Castle, linked of course to King Arthur, but it goes way back to the Romano-British period. (Sorry, I must have my archaeology head on today!!) Envious of your fabulous walks and looking forward to the next few posts.
ReplyDeleteLove this and thank you for sharing! It looks so unspoiled and uncrowded from where I sit in over developed South West Florida!!
ReplyDeleteMy best memory of Tintagel was when my family took a picnic to the cliff tops near King Arthur's Castle. We were on holiday at the time - around the late 1970's. All of a sudden we were targeted by seagulls - my mum being terrified of all birds. swiftly bundled the picnic blanket up plus food contents and chucked them over the cliff! It was both hilarious and frightening at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video Ilona --- I have wonderful memories of vacations in Cornwall with my parents when I was young. Tintagel looks lovely and your video was great.
ReplyDeleteLike the others....I have lovely memories of Tintagel. I am glad you are getting to explore your country and the weather even looks good for it. I stayed at the YHA hostel there many years ago.....a cold night out in a former slate mining building on the cliffs....fantastic views. Loved seeing the little wild pink flowers in your video.
