If you are a Christian, then go to church, at least occasionally! And yes, the Bible does say that Christians should 'Gather' (i.e go to Church) Its no good talking about the UK being a Christian country, when churches are closing because numbers of worshipers are falling.
I was brought up with Christian values, I went to a Methodist Chapel as a child. Now I am a non believer. I feel no inclination to pray to any God. If I want to pray I will do it quietly alone. I do not need to join in with conventional congregations. Our Christian churches will close as they are taken over by other religions.
I would like to go to church, but my local one across the road, literally !!! have ripped out all the old wooden pews and very old flag stones and prayer chapel,.. replaced the church with shiney white kitchen type tiles and click together nhs chairs and a childrens play area in what was the pray chapel . they now have a band area when they push all the chairs into a circle (guitars etc) for the singing and no old prayers. When I asked the new lady vicar/parish priest she said it was to keep up with modern families. Guess a church looking like your noveau-rich renoveated kitchen is what 'they' want. All the older people of tha area have stopped going. thats why the numbers have fallen... catering to the 'few' at the expense of all the others. Norma in Stafford.
