Not just another Sunday

Good morning. Indeed it is a good morning, the sun is shining, I am sitting in my house with my beautiful kitty cats, and I have a lot to be thankful for.

Time goes so quickly, it is ten years since that terrible day when so many lost their lives in America. My picture for today is for all those people who's hearts were broken and lost forever. For those who's hearts are still hurting and will never be healed. My heart goes out to you today, I will never forget you.

Take each day as it comes and be thankful that you have opened your eyes this morning. Be thankful that no matter how hard life must seem sometimes, we are still here. Don't waste time worrying about trivial things that don't matter, instead, rejoice in today because every day is a gift to be thankful for. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

  1. Only recently woken up as my body clock is all over the place at the moment. But you've prompted me to open the blinds so that I can see what is going on in the Devon sky. No sun here but there is a patch of blue and some interesting cloud formations. The cows on the other side of the valley are sitting down. Thank's for the reminder! x

  5. A lovely post Ilona, thank you.

After recent events in our family I am grateful for every day, for every bit of health, and for all those that I hold dear.

Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved or hurt by the tragic, terrible events of 10 years ago today.

  7. Hello PP, Linda, Happy Birthday to you, imagine me singing it to you, Happy Birthday to you. I have actually seen your blog for the first time today. When I have clicked on your link previously it sends my computer into a tizzy. Everything freezes, and it takes ages to get it moving again. Today I walked away from it while it was having a hissy fit, and made my dinner. When I came back to it there was your blog.

A minute after I started looking around it everything froze up again. Don't know why. Good use of pallets by the way :o)

  8. Great post Ilona, hence we forget. I will never forget when I heard the news. A txt from hubby to say 'put the news on quick' I was six months pregnant with Kellie. I sat watching in disbelief and cried. Ten years..hasn't it gone fast. Probably not for those that lost family and friends though :o(
