Good morning. I need to get this done in half an hour because I've got a busy day today. Helping my friend deliver leaflets for her de cluttering business, so there will be a lot of walking up and down garden paths. All helps to keep me fit. I've a few random photo's snapped over the last few days.
Popping in to Morrisons the other evening I found these yogurt drinks. I would never pay full price for them but for 50p I'll have them. I am using them for my breakfast, pour onto cereal, add water to the empty bottle, shake, pour this on. Twelve bottles, twelve breakfasts, yes they will be ok to use even though they are out of date.
Also from Morrisons, a quiche for 65p. Why on earth do they make them without a crust? Bonkers if you ask me. Four portions make four meals, with salad or steamed vegetables. There you are. Spinach, mushrooms, cucumber, cheese, and beetroot. Just how I like a meal, no cooking.
The garden is looking very green now, in fact it's green most of the time because I planted the hedgerows with evergreen bushes. This is the view as I eat my lunch al fresco, sat on a chair at the back door.
My mini chopper is still in daily use. By using this I can get my quota of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit inside me. My teeth can't cope with eating whole nuts, this is an ideal solution for me.
This was a cobbled together meal from a couple of days ago. I made two portions, one eaten with a spud in the microwave, the other I ate with pasta. Mushrooms, a tin of mixed bean salad, spinach, turmeric and garlic powder. It was lovely. Are you still wondering what I am going to do with the embroidered circles? Here's a clue. I have enough now.
This is what happens when I sit down at the computer, Mayze cat craves my love and attention, rendering my right arm out of action. I can manage to move the mouse, but have difficulty with the keyboard. She is a sweetheart, a crazy cat that doesn't walk anywhere, just dashes about. She is often in the windowsill surveying the world outside.
I must get on, packed lunch to make as I'm out for the day. Thanks for popping in, we'll catch up soon.

The mushroom and bean salad looks so tasty. Your friends de cluttering business Ilona, is that the same as house clearance ? (Nick)
ReplyDeleteHi. Not quite. House clearance is for someone who has moved or if someone has passed away. A company will go in and remove everything that has been left behind. De cluttering is having a big sort out, going through all the cupboards and drawers with the owner of the house, and deciding what stays and what goes.
DeleteCrustless quiche = no pastry = fewer calories. Not as nice though!
ReplyDeleteJ x
Hi. I don't bother counting calories. Everything in moderation, just don't pig out on the junk.
DeleteOur puppy Betty comes and lays her chin on my laptop when she wants my attention, meaning I can't type anything and she's inadvertently typing a load of gibberish!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if your circles are going to be a fancy hat stand.Your food is very healthy.I try different things usually only when reduced-might as well,as treats. You have a very tranquil garden ,I love mainly shrubs.I can now only have more delicate perenials on the front garden 'cos of the dogs charging around.Mayze looks so contented little lovely.Hope your friend does well -I watch all the TV programs on de cluttering x
ReplyDeleteLove the catch up. You have such an interesting life with a balance of action, periods of quiet and reflection. x
ReplyDeleteI always leave the pastry on quiches and other foods....a waste of calories....I'd rather have chocolate instead!! I now always make crustless quiches, much healthier :-)
ReplyDeleteHi. I don't quite understand that. You always leave the pasty on quiches, and always make crustless quiches. You eat chocolate, but a crustless quiche is much healthier.
DeleteSome people like a crustless quiche because it's less calories and no carbs, carbs hold very little nutrition and some because they have intolerance to wheat. hope this helps.x
DeleteBut I think Ilona's quiche may have a bottom x
DeleteSorry I meant it does have a bottomx
DeleteNice food and what a sweet cat.
ReplyDeleteMayze looks so comfortable in that photo. My Jacob does the same. I hope your friend's business is a success.
ReplyDeleteHello! I've really enjoyed your walks, Shane it was a windy as it was. What kind of decluttering business does your friend have, does she help other people declutter and organise their homes? I think I'd like that job, I do love to organise things!
ReplyDeleteHi. Yes, that's exactly what she does. She is an organiser.
DeleteIf the quiche doesn't have a crust is it still a quiche? I don't think so. It is now a frittata or a Spanish tortilla or in my book, just baked scrambled eggs.
ReplyDeletePsycho Kitty would pull a Mayze when she was in Tabby mode. But you didn't dare get use to it cause she would switch to Evil Siamese in a flash.
Thanks for explaining Ilona, your friends business sounds a great idea.(Nick)
ReplyDeletehope you have had a lovely day. The weather turned better in the late afternoon up here.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of your cat on top of your arm ;). Our cat used to jump up and lie on the keyboard, causing lots of interesting typos. Thank you for that photo, made my day!
