This is the start of a new art project. It's similar to something I did before, stitching onto a piece of hessian. This is a much tighter weave so the stitches will be smaller. It will take a while.
I did a litter pick yesterday, and today. I wasn't able to pick it all up, will have to go back with more bags. I often wonder if it is worth the bother, as there will be more to pick up in a few weeks time. It gets me out, and I did three miles.
This is my dinner for three days. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I'm using up the cupboard and freezer food, and trying not to buy any more until I have eaten a few more packets and tins. I don't like full to bursting cupboards, things get lost at the back. Onions, red kidney beans, Quorn pieces, and sweetcorn, in a mild curry sauce, on a bed of cous cous.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona

You're the reason I did my first ever litter pick several years ago. You were definitely ahead of the curve before it became a thing to do!

Hi Ilona Mayze Heidi and Oscar enjoyed your video your new project looks interesting and im sure will be really lovely when finished. My sister called today and she is into healthy eating. Most of my meals are very much like yours and use what is in the cupboard. What a pretty cat Maisie is my little Amy has gone to bed and Benny i had to carry in as it is quite cold this evening - he would stay out but as he is getting older i bring him in when it is chilly. Love Liz Amy and Benny.xxxx
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a good thing...It frustrates me that people litter. Your project is colorful and your dinner looks a bit like my breakfast. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the video as always! Maisie is such a cutie. And as for the litter problem,Im afraid that where I live it is getting worse. In this last few months a deer has died at Bradgate Park, because it had a plastic bag over its face and got strangled by it.Previous to this, deer had been eating plastic bags and wet wipes that had been left behind with food scraps on them. What is wrong with some people??.Outside my house there is a drain which people use as an ashtray and throw their fag ends in as they go by.When that blocks up my garage gets flooded...On a lighter note..the sun is beaming down here in Leicester today!.I picked up some Home and Garden type mags for 10p each at a new animal rescue charity shop that has opened so I will have an hour in the garden this morning reading one of these.I save them for reading outside when the sun is shining.Hope that you all have a great weekend!,xx
ReplyDeleteI think I will like your latest project. I like anything with fabrics/stitching on it.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but have to say I did not like the last one, the plastic one, I loved it when you just showed the background with different textures and shades of green, I could happily have just framed that and hung it on the wall, but when you added all those bits of plastic, it ruined it for me - just my opinion, I'm sure there will be many who think otherwise. I do realise though, that it told a 'story' of how rubbish can be recycled, so well done for that.
Hi Ilona, I am in the process of watching your video and was just wondering whether you did anything to the base of the lamp in the background of your video to make it so colorful.
ReplyDeleteHave just enjoyed watching your vid; it does indeed feel like 'a chat'. Mayze really is a lovely looking cat and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only person who talks to their cats all the time!
ReplyDeleteDinner looks delicious!! We ate out of our pantry this week also. The new art project looks very time consuming....almost like a cross-stitch project. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteDinner looks lovely, warming and hearty. Good for these changeable days. x
