Coffee morning this morning. The usual chat and laughter.
I was a bit late setting off for a walk this afternoon. I now take a torch and a high viz vest with me, just in case. I didn't think the sunset was going to be up to much, but you never know. In this first picture it has dropped below the horizon. Oh well, I should set off earlier.
I change directions as I walk, following the path along the edge of fields. I keep turning round, checking if the sun is still visible, or has it gone altogether. Coming towards the end of the track where it joins the road, oh wow, that's a fantastic view. Reflections in the puddles. It was very muddy in some places. I had a chat with a man who was rotavating a corner of his garden near the gate. I have spoken to him before on occasions. He turned his machine off and we had a natter. That took ten minutes up, and I thought I would not get any more sunset snaps. I turned right onto the road, and carried on to the next village. Oooh, just a couple more. Lucky. There was a gap in the hedge, and the field was waterlogged. It looks a like there is a pond.
Arriving back in the village in the dark, I could see from a distance that the floodlights were on. Good to see youngsters playing footie, and the parents standing around the edge cheering them on. No rain today thank goodness. A lot of mud on the ground though.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip. ilona
