Luckily the rain held off today and we had a dry sunshiny day at the Summer Fair. I had a stall to sell my arts and crafts. I made £50 which I have given to the local cat rescue. They had a stall next to me. They had a good day with their bricabrac and tombola.
The tea tent was very busy.
And the ladies in the choir entertained us. A good day was had by all.Toodle pip. ilona
That money you have donated will buy a lot of food to fill those rescue cats little tummies Ilona x
ReplyDeleteThanks flis. Added to the amount that Sue and Janet made, it was well worth making the effort. They had a new cat the day before come into the rescue, it looked a sorry state, been roaming free. The money will come in handy for covering vet fees when it gets checked out in the next day or two.
DeleteLooks like great time for your village. Glad money was made to help with all the kitties 🐾 🐾❤️❤️. It takes a lot of money to care for them while they are waiting on forever homes. Sounds like a winning day for everyone. 😊😊
ReplyDeleteThe cost of looking after animals has increased, that's why a lot are being abandoned. Our cat rescue is small but continues to function through fundraising and donations.
DeleteDebi from Leicester. What a great day.I think that I must say this every year that you do this....oh I wish that I could have been there! And what a great way to help these cats.xx
ReplyDeleteWe have been doing the Summer Fair for a few years now. Sue looks after the kitties, Janet runs around in her car, to the vet and food buying, and I help with fundraising.
DeleteSounds like a fun day!
