Lazy blog post. . . . . . . . .

 . . . . . . . . . . . . but it's important. Please pass it on

Please STOP doing balloon releases. They don’t go to heaven. They fall back to the ground, where animals choke on the pieces or get tangled in the string. Birds, turtles, and other animals often mistake balloon fragments for food, leading to injury or death. There has to be a better way to honor someone without harming other living things.
No more balloons.

It's common sense.

Catch ya later.   ilona

  1. I totally agree with you. We have known about this for years. The same applies to those lanterns which people release, they are lit and also have a wire frame. I've seen on line not too long ago, weddings, memorials etc releasing them over the sea.
I once found one of those balloons had landed in my garden, it was promptly burnt. In the past some have been used in balloon races with a prize for the one which goes the furthest or even for the finder.
    Those photographs are horrendous.
It's about time the government put a ban on both those balloons and lanterns being released
The human race has a lot to answer for.

    1. It's very sad that people don't think about the possible harm to animals when these come back down to earth. I think they should be banned.
