Here is an easy solution for all of you who have dodgy teeth. Mine have to last me a bit longer so I don't want to be biting into anything hard. A piece of hot buttered toast cut into squares with a knife and fork. Eat it with a fork, feeding the pieces one at a time into your mouth. Get the saliva going, move it around your mouth with your tongue as it softens. Very little chewing is required, just a lot of sucking.
Preservation of the remaining teeth is the order of the day. It's a money saver too as the less damage done by chewing, the less visits to the dentist are needed.

I'm with you on this one ilona. I'm also doing all i can to preserve my teeth. Nick
ReplyDeleteHi Nick. I remember many years ago, when I was in my early twenties, I went with my friend to the dentist because she was having to have all her teeth out. They said she had gum disease. I thought at the time how horrific was that. She has managed all her life with falsies. I was scared of dentists but eventually I found enough courage to go, and have been going ever since. I cannot imagine having no real teeth at all, so I am hanging on to the ones I have left.
DeleteI too am on the save my teeth train. I had so much dental work as a child fillings, root canals and braces. So I am NOT a fan. I think all dentists offices have a funny smell lol anyone notice that or is it just me smelling fear 😂😂 Oh we have to laugh.
ReplyDeleteSame here Tammy. I had one awful experience with the dentist who came to the junior school, which put me off going again for many years. My mum had a fear of dentists, which she projected onto me, so I avoided bringing the subject up at home.
DeleteWell, I don't have good teeth - fillings in the molars and several crowns, but darned if I would suck toast! If they go, they go and I'll have to have "falsies"!
