Sink or swim.

I made this video a couple of weeks ago, only just got it downloaded. Talking about water. Why I never learnt how to swim.
The pussy with the poorly neck is making good progress. He eats the food with the anti biotics mixed in with it. The sore spot is healing nicely.
I did a local seven mile walk today. Got chatting with a nice lady, her dog is gorgeous.
It has been threatening rain, and it did try a little bit. It was only a sprinkle.
Lunch today was a potato in the microwave and some beetroot.
Now I carry on with some sewing.
Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona

  1. I also hated swimming lessons. I must have been 10 years later than you, but the baths weren't much better. There was one girl who used to nip me when we were in the water, but the teachers thought we were friends. I was very quiet and never said anything, just put up with it. I wouldn't now!

    1. We used to have a bully. She pushed her way to the front in the bus queue to get the best seat. Me being quiet and shy sat at the back.

  2. I started swimming lessons when I was about 11 through school program in the UK. We had a really mean swim instructor who made us hold onto a long pole and jump into about 5ft of water. Never having been in water that deep I was really scared but she showed no mercy in making us all conform to her request. Eventually I received a certificate for swimming 25 yards -- the length of the pool. I remember the strong smell of chlorine and the cold water but the salty cup of soup which I bought for about 2 pence was a welcome finale to the ordeal.

    1. I agree, it was an ordeal. You did well to stick with it.

  3. I never learnt to swim either, I've always been quite scared of the water so I refused point blank to do it. The sea is beautiful but I'm happy just to paddle in it!

  4. Oh Ilona, I am the same way. I am in my 60's and can't swim and no I do not want to learn. Had two near drowning experiences so no thank you. I am glad I am not the only one. Have a great day.
